You're the IDIOT!

I could have posted that everyone I know and work with that is from Shreveport is a Cowgirl fan, but I chose to use a different angle...

If you have more Saints fans than Cowgirl fans why do your local TV stations play the Cowgirl games....

if by right down the road you mean 2.5 hours, then yes i'd agree. BR's cuisine???? whats the famous cuisine they made famous again. i'm not doubting you just curious.

Baton Rouge is 1hr and 25 min from the coast, 80 miles due south of BR is the GOM, the best saltwater fishing in the world. The freshwater fishing is not bad either.

As far as the food, i wasn't saying BR had famous cuisine, I would agree the food and restaurants in BR all suck, i was referring to NOLA only being an hour away,

There is a difference between NLA women and SLA women.

Not really because I'd much rather freshwater fish and Lake Fork is the best.

That is totally cool with me, I'm just the opposite, to me it doesn't get any better than saltwater fishing

to each his own.... i'd much rather catch specks and reds than bass catfish and brem. i grew up on the tchefuncta river so i wore out bass fishing as a kid and crappie fishing as well.

Big deal,I have seen Cowboys, Falcons, 49er, Miami, and hell even a few University of Tulsa fans down here is South La, so whats your point?

At least Shreveport was able to sell out their preseason game, which the vast majority were sporting Saints jerseys, only 20k of us South La fans showed up in Tiger Stadium when the Saints played the Fins, and 10-15k were only there to suck off Saban. That was pathetic

A big reason for that is that the local coverage area includes a lot of East Texas (Tyler, Longview, Marshall), and Southern Arkansas. If the market was just Shreveport, Saints would win out. I also remember a couple of times when the Saints were hot, had a better match up, etc., that they preempted the Cowboys.

This is the reason why Cowboys games are shown over Saints games:

There's a rule implemented by the NFL that states any market within 250 miles of a league team is mandated to carry that particular club's games. A station can petition the league and the network to show games from a different market, and pay a steep fee to do so.

Since Shreveport is within that 250 mile radius, the Cowboys get priority. A few years ago when the Saints were chasing a playoff berth, the local Fox affiliate did the petitioning and fee paying when the Cowboys were not in the hunt. The station manager told the newspapers that it was a daunting process, and almost not worth it.

So basically it's what we've all been trying to tell the South LA guys...Shreveport is much closer to Dallas.

Wow JJ27,

Thanks for informing us that Shreveport is closer to Dallas than New Orleans. I think there was massive confusion on this board before your geographically enlightened post.

Thanks for that info, PortCity, that makes more sense then my guess.

Honestly, I don't think some of those guys realized that, atleast they didn't act like they did. BTW, you're welcome for acting like a fricktard to a guy that was helping you.

People in Shreveport

Well, I live in Bossier, but I'll play.

There are good number of Cowboys fans here. We are on the Texas border. There are a lot of Texas natives that live and work here. What would you expect? You don't have to live with, them, we do. So why the hell does that bother you?

Thanks for all the "bones" NOLA has thrown us. But over the last 3 years, I believe we've taken in quite a few of your thugs, gangbangers, and homeless people, something that has placed quite a strain on the public healthcare (and public resources in general) in our city, which is my line of work.

And, BTW, I was born in Metaire, and I chose to move here 2 years ago over NOLA.

so you brought the racist mentality with you to a place that's not even your home, a lot of people had the misfortune of losing everything, suffering bad health and winding up in places they never been before, natural disasters do that. I get fricking tired of hearing people in other places run NOLA people down, they exaggerate about crime, and lots of other shite.

A relative of mine died in Houston from bad health due to Katrina, and all the frick they do over there is screw over people from La. when it comes to giving federal aid to them that's rightfully there's, no doubt there pocketing the shite, but all they do is bash La. residents and blame shite on them like your sorry arse.

can't handle the heat get out the kitchen, find another line of work.
