"over 1,000 offensive yards"

Please accept Reggies apology to you that not all 1,000 of them were rushing yards. He warranted his pick his rookie season no matter what you say. Not so much last year.

But if he's so bad... why not cut him? I mean... he only averages, what... less than 4 yards a carry?

Certainly Bush is expendable garbage, right?

*ETA: and i'm not saying that we cut him. but in a year or so if he doesn't improve we need to force him to take a major fricking paycut

And AP has been hurt as often as healthy his entire career. If he were injury free like Reggie was in college, no one would have thought Reggie was on such a higher level than AP. The fact is RB is on our team and brings some valuable skill sets to us. Yes he gets paid top 5 RB money, which he is not, but I think a preseason game where half of our roster was still in MS is no reason to through out the chance that he might have improved this year.

Pierre Thomas had what, 7 yards rushing last night?
He also single-handedly demolished the Bears defense in our last game in 2007. But, whatev.

Stecker? I actually like Stecker.
Me, too. He's dreamy. And good at football things.

Maybe we could trade Bush away and start Stecker?
Bush is untradable because of his contract. But, no, I don't propose this at all.

What's your plan without Bush, oh wise ones?
Give Deuce and Thomas the damn ball, or see if Reggie can learn to run hard.

You saw Stecker run last night. He's no bigger than Reggie, but he attacks the hole (that's what she said) and runs with authority. Something Reggie has yet to do.

I am not saying I dislike Reggie. I actually like him a lot.

myth...reggie just avoided broken bones. he had shoulder surgery and was hurt off and on

also reggie was never a #1 ballcarrier in college like AD was, so it's hard to compare

no the first 2 years of his running style are the reason to give him a baseline, and he showed NO improvement last night

Actually a great point, Slow. The #1 was Lendale White at USC.

adrain peterson has a great o line. i believe reggie would do much better for behind that line than our line.... if he doesnt have a couple of 100 yd rushing games this year i might start to get pissed.... our offensive line sucks at run blocking, they are horrible... 99% of the time he gets the ball the holes are clogged and everyone is collapsing on him.... hes not an every down back no matter how much you want him to be.... hes an open space type of runner... dont get mad at him for not runnning people over because thats not what we drafted him for.... we didnt look at his tape and say "hell yeah, now this son of a bitch is going to run over derrick brooks and make him his bitch"

What did we draft him for? Kim Kardashian?

Again, I agree with this. Change his number to #85 and let him run routes. Then, we could cut Lance Moore AND Devery Henderson.

I blame Pete Carroll. He told Reggie he was a god that no one could catch or even touch. What a bitch face!

So was AP dominating when he was injured? I didn't think so. You say he showed no improvement last year, but then admit he was injured. Unfair judgement guidelines?

You should get a job working for an NFL team. I mean if you are able to tell from what, 2 series, that RB showed no improvement from last year, and also that his 18 yarder up the middle was not a result of him hitting the hole, but of a holding penalty than you should let the NFL no of your expertise.

i think we need to run more toss's and sweep's with him. continue to utilize him with screen plays reverse's and a FEW times a game let him run up the middle

I'm going to have to admit that a few of the holes weren't there for Reggie.

But the play that boiled my blood was the one where the safety hit him in the hole and owned him.

So, now you're suggesting taking away a dimension of his game? When the Panthers line up and see Reggie in there, they'll all yell "SWEEP!" before the play. This is a good plan. I like your good plan.

no the point is bush has gotten injured also

you can't bring up injuries when bush missed a chunk of his 2nd year due to injuries

quote:

You say he showed no improvement last year

he didn't. most say he regressed, but i think he was just the same guy and Ds schemed him better

it doesn't take a genius to see his patented stutter before the hole was still in full effect

How could he NOT see the safety? He was running right at him. For the love of Pete Carroll put your head down and crush some skulls!

No No No!! Petey Carroll told him to just run away from people! Thats the problem. Petey's pussiness rubbed off on Reggie to much. Just my opinion
