Meh... I mean it is making huge news because he is a famous athlete but how is this different than the rest of the senseless violence in the city and elsewhere?

Not a guy driving a Hummer in the Garden District.
My first reaction is a-hole + alcohol + handgun*

I grew up in this city and now find myself wanting nothing to do with it.
This is absolutely awful. Those poor babies. His wife. I just can't imagine. I hate this.

What could possibly have happened that he needed to shoot him that many times??

So sad. One of my favorite Saints. Came in and did his job every day.
frick you Mitch Landrieu and your crusade on statues and not the crime in this city

So two guys got arrested? And both wearing some kind of dashiki shite? And both are huge. Not saying anything crazy happened, but it's weird that their murder uniforms were dashikis.

Exactly for that reason dude. Hopefully this lights a fire under our retarded as frick city Council and mayor.
SaintHoFer shot dead with another all time great Saint HoF in the back seat?
It's a little harder to sweep this one under the rug.
And it is fricking infuriating on so many levels.

But this wasn't typical violence, this was a spur of the moment type thing. The dude apparently accused looked like a normal dude who had his shite together, owned a business, etc. He was not some gang-banger, that would not have prevented this.
Cleaning up the streets would be a great thing but it would not have prevented this. This appears to be just a spur of the moment senseless violence.
Fender Bender + words exchanged + alcohol = someone getting offended and taking it WAY too far.

Is there any particular reason you're being argumentative and an arse clown?

Can we not turn this into "blame the nearest liberal" at this point?

Handle it with fists not guns.
Sad the dude felt he needed to start shooting.
RIP Will Smith

So sad to hear this, not just because he was a favorite Saint but a sad situation for our state too. RIP Will, thoughts and prayers to your family.
