I"m assuming they will bring someone in.
But, there is Humber and Knox who play inside. I'm assuming its Humber's job to lose.
Ron Powell can move inside too, if needed.

I don't know if Powell is on the team anymore.

Dear Mr. Lofton,
I was only kidding about you being a traitor and turncoat. Can you still play ILB?
Your loving ex-team,
Atlanta Falcons

And everyone who calls loomis a genius... Yeah, he works out the numbers but we have no true leaders in the locker room. We let go of vets with experience and eventually all these contracts will we see pushing will blow up in our face. Wish some of you would let reality hit you.

I agree that while Lofton was a solid LB, he didn't have great speed. We need rangy linebackers who can make plays consistently. I wish Lofton the best!

I believe he still is
Showed a bit of promise last year in preseason

He is. Played special teams last year.
Kihri Fortt is the one that got cut in camp.

Does anybody know what our cap is at after this?
I have no idea

We're just going to draft all of LSU's linebackers. Even the ones that aren't eligible or are still in 8th grade.

Lofton wasn't very good? Leadership and was great against the run. Yeah, I understand against the pass he was liability but you can't have it both ways without paying a good bit of money... Which we do not have.

About only 5 mil over

Reality is that releasing Lofton was part of the plan to get under the cap. I'm sure they have a plan. We don't know what that is or if it will work out, but someone will be playing LB and the front office will field a team and will be in compliance with the cap.

And he's never been the leader we hoped he'd be.

Not saying he is a genius, but what is your biggest issue with him?
