Payton's not going anywhere if for no other reason because Drew's not going anywhere. But I think SP would stay anyway. He's put too much of himself into all this to walk away now even for more $$. He's a man on a mission.
However I expect next year some of his coaches to get interviewed starting with CJ and also Kromer and Lombardi. Other than GW I'm not sure anyone on the D side will attract interest--it'll depend somewhat on how the D performs next year. I also won't be surprised if Reprish gets looked at for a GM spot somewhere.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't think Payton would seriously consider leaving anytime soon. But that don't mean some teams won't come sniffing around.

His own Sean Payton Coaching Tree. This would confirm what most of us already know.

Yeah I've actually been thinking about this. In years to come we'll hear interviews and read books from successful coaches talking about how much they learned from SP as he and the Saints won 9 straight Superbowls.

Funny how exactly one year ago everyone was screaming that Payton was on the hot seat and he had to go to the playoffs to keep his job. Of course, people are always calling for Jeff Fisher and Andy Reid's heads too. Guess it goes to show people are usually morons.

Speaking of calling for people's heads, it'll be interesting to see the train wreck in Philly after the fans and team booted McNabb out.
And the billboard guy better have a salaried position....maybe give him, oh, head of security type pay?

Orenstein’s final coup came during the game itself, when he convinced an acquaintance with access to the stadium public address system to play a Saints favorite, “Halftime (Stand up and Get Crunk)” by the Ying Yang Twins, when the team took a fourth-quarter lead.
This was freakin' sick. The Colts fans had no idea what was going on when all of a sudden, all of the Who Dats in the stadium went ape shite.

posted this, come back, and wow...
It isn't just that we won the freakin Super Bowl and are THE World Champions
It wasn't just a freak occurrence. We were one game away 4 years ago.
It's beyond wins and losses. It's even beyond individual players.
It's how we have seen an organization transformed. Just like NE turned into a perennial contender. Just like Indy has been on a continuous winning season run.
We now see that here. They may not win or make the Super Bowl again this year. But I have never been more confident about these things- they are gonna play hard, they will win plenty of games, they will be wowing in many ways as a team, and foremost they will further what we now know... that this is a championship caliber franchise. Again, more than the players on the team, more than individuals. Great organizations are like living organisms. It starts to sprout greatness from itself (like coaching trees). Greatness attracts greatness. What free agent doesn't want to be in our next lombardi Gras parade? Starting All Pro LTs can depart and ya keep on clicking to a Lombardi.
I've hoped against hope for this team as long as anyone here. It was an unbelievable thrill ride last season. The greater fulfillment for me is that I see more than a one year fluke. I can say like the motto of last year- I smell greatness. Now this year- It's Our Time.

And every one of the players at one time or another have tweeted "Two Dat!" so they must have adopted this as a slogan for this year also.
I wanta hear the word Dynasty and Saints in the same sentence in the near future!!!

I don't want this thread to die ! !
Its my shot of adrenaline for the week....
Imagine for a second anyone who has been apart of the Crunk madness at the DOME after a score... Then imagine your emotional instability that would occur after we are down in the Superbowl to Prince Manning, onside kick to open the 2nd half, beautiful screen pass, and over the loud speakers the opening bumps to Crunk.
It could have been (outside porters pick) the greatest moment in that Game!

If you watch the replay of the super bowl, after P. Thomas scores the TD off the screen pass they show him on the sidelines when the song starts. Our whole sideline went crazy.

I don't want to over state it, NAH sure I do, I think that was the turning point of the game... The point at which we knew we were going to win! A notch above a simple momentum switch, but the point in which you look your opponent in the eyes and he blinks, they had fear and we knew it!
