reggie bush is not the staple in this offense...check the stats we are better when he is hurt.
Look he is a great complimentary player, BUT THAT IS IT. He is not the player that will make or break our season. We will do as good without him as we would with him. How about trade him for a decent OLB?

Thats BS. You can use any stat and manipulate it.
Yea we had a better record but you cant tell me we were better without him. If you go back and look at the schedules each year he was hurt we were playing our softer part of the schedule. Also, u cant tell me he was the reason for us losing to Washinton, Denver, and Minnesota because he played great during those games.
You may say hes not the player that will make us or break us but no player on the Saints will besides Brees.
And last time I checked we havent been succesful the last two years and hes been hurt those years. But the year he was healthy, all 16 games, we went to the NFC Championship. Coincidence I think not. So if your goin to use the bullshite stat we have a better record without him, then I goin to say with him we made it to a Conference Championship Game and without him we havent made the playoffs.

i agree 200 percent. im just trying to get some of these "reggie sucks" people to explain the other half of this dumb plan they have.

The only real reasons I get are that "He is not a RB, he is a WR" or "He is a pussy who is always hurt."
Those are the dumbest fricking reasons I have ever heard. I guess leading the NFL in TD's before he got injured last year isnt a stat that much attention should be given. Do you people really think Bush likes not playing and being hurt?

so you don't think he adds anything to our offense, but other teams thinks he's worth a damn...
he adds something or he has no trade value...im fricking hammered and i realize that
but i'm sure you think we lost the washington, denver, or minn. games last year because of him

you are one of those limited people. you see things in a limited, ignorant, unintelligent way, so when you finally cover everything you can think of and make a decision based on such findings, you think you are very celver and precise. Becuase you havent left out anything. When in actuality you only thought of the things a retard would think of and covered all of those points accordingly, not really realizing the world is 100 times bigger than your pee brain lets you understand.

Some of us think we'd be better off trading Bush and some just can't think objectively cause of the Reggie love.
Sorry, it's not just two fans who think this. They IS NOT earing his money, you can kiss his arse all you want but until he earns his piece of the salary cap I'll not like the guy.

Why don't we throw Brees in with the Bush trade too, dumbass?
Bush wasn't drafted to be an every down back, he was drafted to be a multi-purpose player, a playmaker, and that's exactly what he is.
But I guess this is way too complicated for some of the retards on here to comprehend...

quote:I can see both points, but I don't think the Saints would honestly consider trading Bush. We just need him healty, & this has been discussed before- he is no good to us if he is 80%, I would rather him sit & wait until he is 100%, then he can have the chance to prove to all of us that the doubters were wrong.

It's been said on this board at least a million times: The Saints can't trade Bush this year...period. The cap hit would be in excess of $14 million. Considering we only have about $6 mill left, you'd have to trim another $8 mill just to get to break even on the cap.
Whether we like it, or not, some changes will have to take place in the off season. As I've mentioned before, there are 3 players (Vilma, Greer, and Stinchcomb) who will get additional $10 mill added to their pay. Bush will count $13 mill towards the cap. Brees will have to be resigned. Brown's contract comes up. Moore's contract comes up. Something will have to give.
Whether there is an "uncapped" season in 2010, or not, Benson will not take on a $200 million payroll.

I guess you Reggie haters won't stop all the BS about trading him. GET OVER IT. ITS NOT GONNA HAPPEN!
Besides, if we did trade him, he'd become all-pro and be on the team that beats us in the SB!
Praise Breesus!

yeah, they've looked real awful without the 3YPC dimension or the dance behind the LOS for a loss dimension.

i think people purposefully forget his price tag. he's very, very expensive
a better player who performs similar roles (jones-drew) just signed for about $2M less per season. this is 3-4 years after bush signed his contract
do people on here think that this team is better than it would be without bush and with a a late 1st/early 2nd round pick (nicks, wells, hood, britton, brace, or brown) and, say, bart scott at WLB?

i don't understand how people really think the saints miss bush. the numbers just don't lie, they're just as efficient points wise and the record is better w/o him.
the saints would have been much better off trading down in 2006. i don't think i ever want to take a RB that high in the draft again.
