I say Trade PT Cruiser & try to go after a LB,Safety or something on Defense. Just My Opinion.

So why don't you compare the two running backs?

Oh, and by using your logic, you can't say that Drew Brees is any better than Bobby Hebert because they played against different teams in different years with different plays being called.

Basically, no one player is any better than any other player that has ever played the game because they played in different seasons against different teams.

Flawless logic there!

What's your point? Do you think it isn't possible for a backup olinemen to be better than a starting one? This thread is about Ivory, not the oline. Idiot.
no, this thread is about running back production. running behind starters is a big deal. running behind backups will affect performance. it's really not all that difficult, especially when you consider playing DIFFERENT teams, running DIFFERENT plays, in DIFFERENT situations.

But you are right, Ivory is so much better than Ingram. Mickey and Sean really don't know what the frick they are doing in going after Ingram.

its not like Ivory had a major injury last year and we were down to our 5th and 6th string RB come playoff time.

I'm sure that had nothing to do with drafting Ingram, it was really because all our other RB's sucked

your retarded-ness speaks for itself. 4 games buddy. 4 games. I'll take Ingram over Ivory any day. Right now, to come to your conclusion is absolutely baseless.

Keep thinking you are smart though.

I am quite sure they went after him because of A) Ivory is injury prone, not because Ingram is better, B) they planned on getting rid of Reggie (not anticipating Sproles would be this good for us)

You can do better then this. It is not that hard to look and see which running back is a better running back.

Didn't Ivory break more tackles than MJD last year?

Look at their YPC compared to other players running behind the same line.

2011:
Ingram 3.5ypc
PT 5ypc
Sproles 9ypc

2010
Ivory 5.2ypc
PT 3.2ypc
JJ 4.0ypc
Bush 4.2ypc

So Ingram has been the least effective runner on the team while Ivory was easily the most effective (and yes, I understand that Ingram mostly works in short yardage, obvious running downs, but so did Ivory).

And I like Ingram. I expect him to improve, and I like having 3 good RBs, but they should probably try a few games with all 4 and figure out who to deactivate if they need to go with 3 RBs (and really, it's only going to be between Ivory and Ingram).

better vision, not injury prone. heisman winner. He will be solid for years to come. I really do like Ivory, but if he can't stay on the field he's not valuable.

statistics are unreliable. you know that. the only way we could have any sense of reliability right now would be Ivory and Ingram's numbers playing in the same role THIS SEASON. That's all I'm saying and it's pretty simple. Any other comparison is erroneous.

So your only real argument is that Ivory is injury prone?

that just isn't true. Players are constantly compared to each other all the time, throughout the league. I guess we don't know if Brees is better than Romo because they don't play behind the same line with the same plays

It's literally not complicated at all. It is a fairly simple statement but you are complicating it by trying to tie in the fact that they played different teams in different seasons. That is beyond the point.

Your position is intellectually dishonest because it ignores the things that you think "complicate" the argument.
