I’m trying to stop promoting grifters and engagement farmers. Catherine deserves a massive following. I watched her full video that covers a range of topics from Hunter Biden’s laptop to corporate advocates overruling CBS news executives. Nothing shocking but good to see her professionally take matters into her own hands and call it out.

They’re not supposed to be mainstream in their presentation and those who are those mainstream archetypes (Steve and Nancy, later on Lucas as the jock) develop to shirk those characteristics to join the weirdos because that’s a core conflict of the show: they’re fighting Vecna/the mind flayer, the military/covert ops, AND the entire society around them to try to save everyone. If you have a moral quandary with presenting the weirdos of the world as the heroes, this just isn’t going to be your show and it’s not meant to be. And that’s fine, consume the media that you find personally enjoyable.

Some of you really think you are Albert Einstein level of geniuses. You think we don’t know who these character were and are? It doesn’t mean the writers have to keep shoving it down the viewers throats in cringey fashion. At no point in the show did any of the core characters and friend groups give off bigot vibes. They are accepting kids. So move on from the woke tropes - there are no societal obstacles to overcome for these diverse set of kids, as written.
