If they wanted Moore than by league rules they couldnt hire him until his season was complete so this rant is meaningless

That’s my point

The other six teams could have waited

There’s a reason they didn’t wait

Not sure what it is

Also I don’t believe that our front office is smart enough to be so strategic as to pass up on six HC’s
(i.e. passing up on Patrick Mahommes)

Because all along we knew Moore was the guy we wanted

He might have been the last man standing

And still may be a homerun pick

Dennis Allen is a good defensive coordinator , not a good head coach .

Not everybody can be a great head coach .

Agree 100%

I would have loved to keep DA as DC

The biggest believers in Moore need to treat year 3 like year 1 and withhold all expectations until year 5.

Agree 1000% but I would hope year 3 we would see much improvement

And I am hoping he will become the next young hot HC

you hate the board,

I don’t hate anyone

I’ve been a loyal Saints fan since 1966

And always will be

I wish you guys weren’t so close minded

And would accept a different point of view

Or a different opinion

Saints fans accepting and making excuses for everything this organization does

Is helped create the years of misery

Jim Finks was the beginning of a serious NFL franchise in New Orleans

My opinions are based on not wanting to go back to those years

We are very close to that now

We all have to hope Kellen Moore is the right guy at the right time

Thank you

If you are going to be fair of your criticism, you have to also accept that comparing each opening would not be a fair apple to apple comparison. Vrabel was getting the NE position, only real challenge here was Ben Johnson.
Cowboys going with Shottenheimer was an odd move that baffled a lot of people. Could be the diamond in the rough hire, or could be the next bone headed hire from JJ (he's sitting around 50/50 with his hirings)
LV going Carroll tells me they were not legitimately considering giving someone their first job.
Ben Johnson was the clear #1 candidate, and the Bears nailed that one

The real comparison would be comparing Jags, NYJ & Saints for the 2-4 (Chi being #1) spots. Not really good company for the Saints here as the other 2 have their own shitshows going on; but at the same time, them not waiting for Kellen is not a slight at Kellen either

That’s fair

I still think Kellen wasn’t our first choice

I’m hoping we accidentally got the right guy
