If you look at the depth of the draft, we have to take our guard in the 1st 3 rounds. Our first pick needs to be a guy that can change and impact the defense the greatest. We need to address every aspect of the defense so it doesn't matter what you really address first, as long as you are getting elite talent at that position. If you have a chance at Hargreaves or Ragland, that gives you elite talent at that position. I think Rankins is a good pick, but I also think you can trade back and get a DT of the same ability while picking up picks. There is no ILB near the ability of Ragland and very few corners that you can put up to Hargreaves. The Saints need top talent at positions. They have proven that they cannot make the defense work by marginalizing every position. They hit a homerun with Anthony. Now they can setup Dome Patrol part two with Ragland. I alsp don't believe Ragland will go until 17th and on so we could trade back and pick up a 2nd round pick that would allow us to take two d linemen in the 2nd or address 2 needs. I don't see great value at the 12th pick unless Hargreaves falls that low. I think there is more value in trading back and picking up another pick in most cases.
