No. It's a brag post.
Too bad for him he has also mentioned several times he has like $60K in CC debt without anything in the bank and lives on disability so no one will be impressed by a $40K millionaire.
Is this for real? Haha I don't feel bad about my $1200 on a credit card now(primarily for shite wrong with my car).
Even though I'm poor as frick anyhoots.

I just don't understand that mindset.
That's all fine, but I wasn't bragging. That's the only issue I have with what you said to me. It was a comment on how expensive vehicles have gotten more than anything.
ETA: I'm one of those guys that enjoys vehicles, so my discretionary cash goes to that. Like you said, everyone has different priorities.

Actually, there is something you can do to stop it. They did not have GPS monitoring systems back in the day. There are many on the market now. He speeds, he loses the car. It's that simple.
I thought you trust him because he's such a good kid? Sounds like you only half trust him. It'd be like saying you copmletely trust your wife but then you read her texts every day. IF you trust the kid, let him have some freedom. You constatnly hawking over him everytime he drives is going to be annoying as shite. And if you're sooooooo worried about him speeding, worried enough to where you're going to GPS track his every route, why get him a fast sports car in the first place?

OMG I have a job. Go me. Car dealers will loan to almost anyone.
I have two jobs and 4 kids in private school.
I would find a slightly used 7 passenger Highlander or mo slightly Used large SUV for $20-30k. Shut up, meanie.

you pointed out that both your vehicles have $75K price tags, and said $100K between 2 vehicles isn't much these days. IN fact, it really is.

It's two pick up trucks. Not even top of the line trucks. It's not that much, not anything worth bragging about anyway.

If it is cheaper for a 16 year old to drive a Macan S, than a 4-cylinder 3rd car...then you have the wrong insurance.
For the kid to have a 4-cyl Mustang, his insurance was going to be $5,600/yr.
For the kid to have my wife's '08 Volvo XC90, it was going to be $1,400/yr.
For the kid to be a 3rd driver on a '16 Macan S and '16 Mustang GT Premium, $1.200/yr.
I probably drive my Vette around 150-200 miles/month. I really don't need 3 cars.

If it's true that you really are $60K in debt....you don't need a vette, or a mustang, or a whole bunch of shite that you probably have.

While I agree with you on this, you don't need $100k in cars, either, respectfully.
Cash is fungible. Cars aren't. I don't deny people take pleasure and pride in their automobiles - it is a classic American tradition.
Even if you were flush to $1 million in cash, I would make the same recommendation - possibly upgrading the Camry to a 4Runner.

No. I currently carry about $20K on credit cards and make around $150K after taxes - I don't think that's an unreasonable ratio.

I hope your wife works. If not, spending $100k on two new cars at your salary is pretty fricking stupid.

It means easily negotiable - if I have cash (which is fungible) - I can easily trade that for food, medical care, pharmaceutical products, ammunition, fuel, firewood, consumer electronics, sexual favors, disinfectant, musical instruments, what have you - in an open and functioning marketplace.
If I have an $80,000 car, I have $80,000 (plus, probably at least a little interest) in cash and debt tied up in a depreciating asset - the equivalent of taking cash money and lighting it on fire to heat your home, rather than paying the light bill with it.
Am I getting through to you at all?

Wut? Even if he was putting $0 down, that's less than $2000 a month for 5 year loans, including ttl. He has $12,500 income each month, so that's really not an absurd number.

You don't have a job, so you don't make shite.
You live off of disability insurance. Have fun turning your kid into a douche.
