Yeah I don't have high hopes for this one and we're almost surely going to lose but honestly it doesn't really matter since this game has been penciled in as a loss since before the season even started. It doesn't really change our trajectory any. Saturday's game is massive though because I fully believe that if we win that one we are solidly in the dance.

can you elaborate on this? Genuinely curious.
Interesting their first choice of highlight for TM was a fumble that should have been a change of possession.

They really need to throw this double bye dogwater format in the trash. Do we really need 5 days of games of basketball many of them will be total snoozefests?
when you have 4 big12 castoffs that shouldn't even be in the league this is what you get as a result.

out of all the candidates that you could have hired, including Todd Golden

no one knew anything about Golden yet.
do you not see the irony here? Hindsight is a tricky thing. The fact that Golden ended up being a grand slam (at Florida, who knows what he'd do at a lesser program) doesn't diminish the fact that we hit a home run ourselves. I mean Jans and Gates were also listed above White on the list you linked and I certainly wouldn't want them over White.
Believe it or not, it IS possible for a situation to work out for the best for all parties. This is one of those times, but because we went from bad to pretty good, while florida went from pretty good to great, y'all seem to think that we are the loser of the transaction, which simply isn't true no matter how much you paint it to be.

I'm sure you have a source of so many UF players supposedly hating Summrall.
I didn't say that either.
0/2 for you. Not a great look.

Relax.
ah, so you DON'T have any proof me me saying white is better than golden. What an odd think to casually make up on the fly.

We’ve gotten better every year. What more can we say?
this is what Florida fans (or at least, the two of them that keep bringing it up including mentioning me by name) don't seem to get through their thick skulls.
Year 1: took a team that went 6-26 and DEAD LAST in the sec to a .500 record. literal 10 game improvement
Year 2: 20 wins and made the semis of the NIT
Year 3: 20 wins and an NCAAT bid
Year 4: 20 wins already with likely more to come and an almost sure-fire NCAAT bid again
Real life on paper improvement *literally* ever year he's been here, and UF fans try to act like it's a joke that he's here? Like hell...we should be thanking UF instead of the other way around.
I don't know shite about baseball and don't follow baseball, but didn't atlanta get in big trouble for a situation with trying to lock in a foreign youngster (maiten? Maitan?) a while ago and got heavily penalized for it? Am I thinking of something else?

I wonder if WG Dawg still thinks that Mike White is a better coach.
than who? I'd love for you to provide one single shred of evidence I've ever said he's better than golden.
Is he better than OUR prior coaches? Without question, going all the way back to post-harrick. Thrilled we got him. As I'm sure you're thrilled to be rid of him.
This would be like UGA football fans talking shite to miami around ~2017 for having Richt as coach. We were in natty contention while Miami was out of the hellscape they were in and actually nationally relevant and made the orange bowl. Don't you agree it'd be strange for us to be liek "haha look at miami you suckers! glad you got our cast offs now, what losers! lololol"
As i said in my first post, the ONLY people ever talking about White/Florida are florida fans. Nobody else even mentions him at UF but UF fans bring it up pretty often as some kind of dig at UGA. It's really, really odd.

Such an odd thing for Florida fans to constantly be obsessed over. It worked out great for BOTH schools. We are doing great (compared to our norm) and Florida got even better too. Win win for everyone. Florida fans always pretend it's an insult though which is just really strange.

GA out if they lose their last 2 and lose their first SEC tourney game?
Yes
21 is, imo, our magic number. If we lose the rest of our remaining games we ain't making it.

Sometimes I wish reporters would just get cheeky with it. "Since the shooting was over a new pair of J's, all of y'all OBVIOUSLY know the race, sex, and approximate age of the parties involved".

Hopefully we can win a game in the first round of the NCAA and just not get embarrassed by a 1 or 2 seed in round 2.
Last year as the 9 we had the shite fortune of playing "8" seed Few-coached gonzaga who was ranked as high as #3 in america during the season adn won their confernece. It was a horrnendous draw.
At present we're projected to be a 9 seed again but obviously lots will change. Go 1-1 to end the year, get one (maybe 2?) in the SECT and I think we can expect higher. We lost so mega talent form last year but this year's team seems to play better overall as a complete team, IMO. Our strategy this year isn't just "let Silas do something, or just give it to Asa". Gonzaga was obviously much better than us so we were fricked from the start, so I'm hoping this year we get a more even matchup. As of RIGHT NOW (which again, will change a thousand times) the bracketology has us as a 9 facing 8Miami in Michigan's bracket. If we're an 8/9 I don't suppose there is any real comfort in winning 2 because Duke and Michigan would whip us; I haven't watched any uconn or arizona this year so Idk about them but I'm guessing they're a #1 seed for a reason. If we could make our way up to a 7 seed that'd be glorious.

Can we please move off of the bubble?
we aren't on the bubble. We've been solidly in in like 99% of projections.
If we hold serve against MSU as we should, we're in. We're losing to bama but that doesn't affect our chances in any way.

at the top of the complaints of Richt and used as a proof source as to why he could not win a Natty. Now, we have won a Natty and have arguably one of the most disciplined coaches in NCAA Football…yet, we still have players getting arrested for speeding
-are the players in athens any different than all other college kids across america? No
-Is athens any different, generally speaking, from other college towns? Not really.
-Are our two most recent coaches spanning 25 years any more or less strict on speeding? Yes, likely far more so than others
-Does UGA do more or less advanced awareness on driving infractions? More, I'm nearly certain
It seems to me that when you look at all the variables, the major differences are 1) our PD compared to others, and 2) our local media compared to others.
I am NOT excusing any of the behavior itself. I'm just saying the whole reason we have a perception problem is because of how the law enforcement and media involved after the offense occurs are wildly different than that of other programs. Our players are not behaving any fundamentally different than the players anywhere else in america, at all levels.

well your best coach in history is 2-7 vs Bama,
I specifically referenced the last 5 years, considering nobody would ever claim to be better than bama during saban's prime run.
But here you go going full gump, going back as long as it requires to turn your point valid
