You didn't comprehend what he was saying.

If you make remotely decent money, your tax burden to a "high property tax" state like Texas will very likely be less than a state that has both income taxes AND property taxes, like Louisiana.

I have no idea how people in Louisiana got the idea that their property taxes are not high. I pay like 4k a year less in property tax on a similarly assessed property in LA vs TX.

Now offset that 4k tax "savings" against the five figure income tax I pay to Louisiana.

He’s an idiot that not long ago said Louisiana was the highest tax state.

While Louisiana sucks, it’s not the highest taxed state.

That’s fine. I’m philosophically opposed to taxing productivity and general commerce.

Taxing property encourages productivity. Taxing income and sales discourages productivity.

Look at Europe. They tax the frick out of income and sales and they don’t produce shite. Goddamn Mississippi has a more productive economy per capita than pretty much every EU country and England.

Income and property taxes are production taxes, but sales taxes are consumption taxes. All taxes should be consumption taxes.

I’m sure this is another shite on Louisiana thread, but this is good news.

Exactly! “More bad news—Louisiana’s tax competitiveness up significantly year over year.” Lol wtf

People and their negative attitudes towards everything imaginable are hurting the state more than taxes.

Cause LA has gotten so much better in the last 30 years, there is reason for optimism! Oh, wait. When you have to look up to Mississippi, it's pretty hard to be optimistic.

They don’t whine like LA people, that’s for sure.
