Apple Watch today. Maybe an el cheapo Walmart watch tomorrow. Once upon a time I sported a $12 watch from there for a year or two and got more compliments than any “nice” watch I ever bothered with.

We had both. We usually had a cloth rag out for drying hands while the paper towels were reserved for cleaning spills and messes. Pretty much follow the same procedure today. A big pack of paper towels from Costco lasts the two of us several months.

So they’re just putting that number out there without providing any evidence or statement about how they got that number?

Yep! Their methodology has to be slop. How would they know how many people are watching any given screen? There’s people watching solo at home, people watching in groups at house parties, people watching at restaurants and bars (along with plenty of people there NOT watching). Even if they came up with some kind of average viewers per screen, it would still be crazy off base.
I wonder how many people read the article while sitting their arse in endless traffic because so many people wanted to be here. We’re definitely full here in the U.S. and have quite a few undesirables we could stand to lose.

Lafayette’s a great big town. Same way BR was pre-Katrina. The way Lafayette is now reminds me of BR in the 90’s. Enjoy it while it lasts. I still love BR and think it gets shite on unfairly, but sometimes definitely wish we could go back to quieter days. Now that the Northshore split off from the Nola metro, BR will be the biggest metro in the state within 10 years or so. Thats if the Southshore continues to bleed residents while LP, AP, and WBR around BR continue to grow. The big city problems will continue I’m sure.

If so, maybe have the discussion family style with your vet.

Don’t put it on the vet. They aren’t therapists.
We also need people to stop saying stupid shite like this.

The Union is the new Mall of Louisiana.

Every time I go to the Mall I’m on the lookout for everything that’s supposed to be wrong with it. But every time, all I see is a pretty healthy regional mall that’s doing a pretty good job existing in the Amazon era. The way people will problems into existence around here is wild.
Is she not still in the Audubon Place house? Her ship came in late in life when she snatched up Benson. Can’t imagine her getting too far off her beaten path at this stage.
They really need to figure out the water situation. Supposedly the one coming in West Fel will have some kind of closed-loop system where all the water is re-used. Keep me honest if I’m remembering that wrong. But makes me wonder why they all aren’t doing that. Just cheaping out or what? Seems like all the money spent on PR could be spent on that.

Then there’s the power challenges. Oy vey. I want to be supportive but there are so many issues.
My best friend had a kick arse house and parents who were rarely home. It was the de facto gathering spot. We’d usually all end up there doing whatever. Often end up making a late night Waffle House run. Had to open for my job at 8am Saturday morning. Would often end up back over there sleeping on the couch after noon when I got off.

Once her underlings start talking to get lighter sentences, maybe they’ll have enough on SWB to get her.

Bingo! Came here to say this. They always start with the low hanging fruit and cut deals with them in exchange for dirt on the final boss.
Hate hate HATE this! Pisses me off from the jump. That, and airbrushing a perfect green lawn out front or out back. If there’s one thing that annoyed me about looking at houses, it was when the pictures didn’t reflect reality. Depict it accurately so expectations are kept in check as you go to see it in person.
The average human is just incredibly stupid. The average IQ is like 100. Bet she also stops at the top of an escalator to plot her next move instead of having it figured out ahead of time. It’s amazing that so many people get by as well as they do.
Unless they can get some sort of familial DNA analysis done in lieu of exact matches, I think this is done. Sadly, they will likely never know what came of their mother. The desert is a big place. Heart goes out to them. It would destroy me from the inside out to lose my mom this way.

People get older, other things happen in their lives that make it harder to maintain sites, etc.

This has happened with a couple of online spots on my radar. Basically, the webmaster or whoever would explain that they could no longer maintain it for reason X.
Getting about $3,500 back from the Feds for 2025. I typically use itemized deduction.

Yeah there’s some pretty big gaps in this reporting. This is creeper behavior but unless he was trespassing or something, I feel like they’ll have a hard time getting charges to stick.

I smelled weed smoke as a kiddo at early Spanish Towns. Your kids will live.
Big time full of shite! AI continues to be garbage. The only people who think it will take over in 18 months are people who don’t have to use it regularly.
