As a single man in his 20s I budget my monthly outflow expenses to $1700 a month. Since I make about $5000 a month after taxes I get to bank $3000+ a month in my savings account and that will add up after a while.
Smart, save now while you can. It's a lot tougher when you get married and get a nicer house, etc.

Exactly. Why would he even put numbers out there in the first place? Look at me!! I make $70000!! I canz savez!!!

Those numbers don't add up.
No way he's clearing $5k a month if he's only making $70k a year.

None of your math adds up. You said you make $70k earlier, so there's no way you're taking home $60k. And you either live at home and pay no rent/utilities or you do literally nothing all month if you save $3k a month. $1700 a month TOTAL expenses is pretty much impossible unless someone is paying a lot of your living expenses.
I work 2 jobs. One job I make $35k(about 2500 after taxes) and the other is a tipped job where I have been averaging about $2600 the past few months after taxes.
Monthly Expenses:
-Rent: $630
-Gas: $50
-Auto Insurance: $50
-Phone Bill: $50
-Grocery/Food: $300
-Cable/Internet: $75
-Electric: $45
-Home Gas Bill: $25
-Dry Cleaning: $20
-Religious Contribution: 10% (About $500)
Total is $1745 but I try to skim the grocery bill to keep me at $1700 which I am usually not successful at.
I also live in a low cost of living state (Iowa)
Also I don't budget for recurring expenses like haircuts or oil changes but when those come up I put them in my monthly budget

You will get to a point where you get tired of living your life pinching pennies. I was a tight wad for a few years after I graduated. Now, I save 25% of my check in either retirement or it goes directly into savings. After that, I just live. I do what I want and I don't care if I'm left with $0 after. I usually still save additional money, but if I don't, no sweat.

Another lie. With no retirement contribution of insurance deductions, you're take home at that rate is $1015 every two weeks. You're so full of shite. Hope this LINK works.

It's all about balance. I put away what I need to and I do the things I want to now. Money isn't going to do a damned thing for me if I die of a heart attack tomorrow.

Correct it comes out to be $2200 monthly, but I also get quarterly bonuses as well ranging from $750-$1000.

Correct
I pay out of pocket for medical expenses. 2 dental visits and x-rays per year are $90 each = $180 and I haven't paid for a doctor visit since July 2012 since I haven't needed to go.
