Today's country is a disgrace.
Im proud to say I havent listened to country music in over a decade because of this shite. I cant name a single popular country singer or group right now if I tried. I hear this shite played on other people's phones, cars etc and I dont understand how these people get famous. I doubt there is one band or singer today that can write their own music. Its sad.

It's easy to hate on mainstream country; but let's be honest, most mainstream music is like this.
Rap is the worst. The majority of "lyrics" are moronic, and, worst of all, the "artists" possess no vocal talent.
I find rap concerts to be the absolute worst. Without a studio to alter the sound, it's just one or more tatted up ex-cons on stage yelling vulgarities.

Of course, y'all's edgy checklists have eliminated almost every classic country song, too.
He Stopped Loving Her Today? Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain? Ring of Fire? I'm So Lonsome I Could Cry? Ring of Fire? I Fall to Pieces? Nope: not even remotely true.

All sung with a fake/over-accentuated twang in a douchey straw hat, cut-off shirt, and jeans with holes in them.

Most main stream music is meant to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

Gonna take her down to the build a bear
In the parkin lot's where I'll be waitin
I pray to god she ain't ovulatin

This is why Wheeler Walker Jr. is the savior country music needs.
Seriously, if you haven't listened to Wheeler Walker, and you need a good laugh, YouTube his stuff. It's great.
