Don’t listen to him, he uses a shake weight for fun.
Mine don’t either.

Those calculators interpret both the divisor and forward slash as the same thing. They’re not the same thing though

There is no one side. The writer intentionally wrote it this way to make these exact arguments happen. Anyone definitely saying it's one answer or the other is making an assumption, whether they choose to admit it or not.
That's what I argued the last time one of these dumb threads popped up and you were claiming one side

Highly doubtful, because my first post in these threads is always something along the lines of there not being a "right" answer. The most likely answer is 9, but this problem is written like shite, intentionally.

The program doesn’t differentiate between the divisor and the slash. It’s useless in this cass

False. Anyone saying 9 is answering the problem as it is written.
Everyone saying 1 is assuming that 1/3 has parentheses around it.

They absolutely can, and if you meant for them to mean the same thing, you'd have used the same one in both spots. The writer choosing to use both is the giant fricking clue that this problem is written like shite and made to be argued about.

You're making an assumption that those two signs mean the same.

So why'd you tell him to use it?
It's okay to admit you thought it would prove you right and now you're trying to act like it sucks because it didn't.
