So why'd you tell him to use it?
It's okay to admit you thought it would prove you right and now you're trying to act like it sucks because it didn't.
Yea, that was pretty funny.

1/3 is a fraction then answer is 1
If it's 3/1/3 then answer is nine. As written neither answer is wrong. There, happy?

You're making an assumption that those two signs mean the same.

I would love an example of how they are different that applies here.

It could mean:
9-3÷1
_____
3+1

Yes. Yes you are stupid. It's not 9.
It is 9. Wolfram Alpha says it's 9 if you copy and paste the equation exactly how it is written.
Furthermore, it is no different than asking:
9 - 3/1/3 + 1 = ?

The answer is 1 and all of you fricks on the first page is dumm
9 - 3 ÷ (1/3) + 1
9 - 9 + 1 = 1
But this is one of those stupid Facebook memes that has the initial problem written out in a shitty way that leaves it open for interpretation which in turn provides the opportunity for endless circles of debate
frick Facebook
9 - 3 ÷ (1/3) + 1
9 - 9 + 1 = 1

Im not mad. I am saying this math problem as written, only has 1 correct answer. It just does
And that answer is 9
If you want the answer to be 1, you need to write it as :
9 – 3 ÷ (1/3) + 1
0r
9 – 3 ÷ .3333333 + 1
And that answer is 9
If you want the answer to be 1, you need to write it as :
9 – 3 ÷ (1/3) + 1
0r
9 – 3 ÷ .3333333 + 1

So the answer is either 9 or 1 1/3?
Now I feel like the Aggie.

It doesn't though. But maybe if you keep saying it, it will be true.

I’ll admit I thought it would be programmed to differentiate btw those two symbols

With the division sign I'm assuming 1/3 is a third
Exactly. One-third is a number; not a mathematical operation. That's why the smart people get the answer 1 and people that think they're smarter get 9.
