Crazy if this thing hits 74mph. Storms firing around center.

I guess the slowing down to 9mph is giving it some time to intensify. Weird storm.

It's going to be tropical and a hurricane by the time we wake up tomorrow.

Going to be an active season. Last year the models did not project intensification well at all. I'll bet they run into a similar problem this year.

Meanwhile, Maryland is having their 2nd 1000 year flood in 2 years. This is incredibly sad.

A lot of us around here can really sympathize. Tragic.

Alberto still has a lot of dry air to deal with if he's going to get any stronger. Though he's cut most of it off from the center in the mid levels.

Holy shite. That’s terrible....we dealt with rising stagnant water, that looks like a fricking tsunami hit.

Reporting live from Orange beach: this storm ain’t shite. There is a small surge, a little swell and it’s overcast. I haven’t see a single drop of rain since Friday.

A lot of pissed off folks in Gulf Shores. First big weekend of the summer and the Weather channel is spewing doom and gloom making guest cancel or wait until Tuesday. They canceled Dave Mathews concert last night in Orange Beach with gorgeous cool weather. We may not get any rain with a small storm surge.

The Maryland floods are completely different than the floods we've experienced down here. It only took about 6" of rain in a few hours to cause the flash floods up there.
