Now Sandra is denying he had a firearm, although she was nowhere near the incident.
he was a good boy, his prior FELONY conviction is such a small deal its not even worth mentioning on the phone

Well that didn't take long... just give them some money and they'll shut up.

So the cop farther away automatically yells "gun!" after seeing/feeling one in his pocket, then the other cop who cant see it thinks this shout means the suspect actually has it in hand and starts panic firing in response. Then they were "freaking out" afterwards. Sounds like these guys were just poorly trained and are unable to handle stressful situations. People like that really shouldn't have the power of life and death over us...
Certainly possible. Just as possible as him "reaching for the gun" in his pocket

The officers won't receive any type of punishment, and the family of the victim will receive some sort of settlement just to avoid a courtroom. This will all go away fairly quickly.

"...the shooting of a BLACK man". So in other words, this isn't newsworthy if some other race gets shot? Now THAT sounds racist to me.

The cops have a legal responsibility to use only force that is "necessary". My first reaction was that they were totally in the wrong. On the second watch, I saw more of a struggle for power. Still, there were two grown men armed with both lethal and non lethal weapons. If they were properly trained, they should be able to disarm him with a swiftness in that position.
Cops say they only want to be treated respectfully and these situations will go away on their own. I ghink they truly believe that, but you have to understand how deep the distrust from minorities is that the police are there to protect them. Incidents like this only set everything back.

hasnt it been confirmed he had a gun on him?
No it hasn't so don't act like it has.
I'm on the cops side on this one, but you posting that he had a gun before that is factual is just as bad as BLM activist saying he was innocent.

Only newsworthy if a BLACK man is shot by a WHITE cop.

Sterling was a registered sex offender, state records show. He was convicted in 2000 of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and was released from prison in 2004. Details of that case were not immediately available. Sterling also had convictions for aggravated battery, criminal damage to property, unauthorized entry and domestic abuse battery, The Advocate reports. He was sentenced to five years in prison in 2009 for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and carrying an illegal weapon with a controlled dangerous substance

He ain't no choir boy.
Still, selling CDs doesn't warrant getting shot. These policeman have to get better training for these situations. It's sad that a man is dead and now these two officers are going to go through hell for trying to protect themselves when they were in over their heads.

If you aren't doing anything wrong, you do what the cops tell you to do. The truth will come out.
In just about every incident I've seen, there has been resistance on the part of the suspect. Not defending the cops because some of them are bad or have not been properly trained, but put yourself in
their shoes.
The rhetoric against cops coming from the media and certain politicians and organizers is also to
blame. It has encouraged people to resist, and totally disrespect authority.
