Whoa those first few pictures make me think of Gotham city or that game Bioshock.
I would be ok with our tax dollars going towards making every post office in that style instead of some depressing brick brutalist square.. at what point did we transition over to ugly arse state/fed building style?

Went to Empire State Building today and I must agree. There is something majestic and just fancy about walking up the marble stairs in a building like that.
