i'm still convinced a lot of people can't accurately identify a pitbull.
and the defenders of pitbulls are met with the rebuttals of "im going to kill your dog", "if your dog steps foot in my yard im going to kill it," and "kill all pitbulls and their owners".

I have neither a Pit Bull, nor kids, but whenever kids are around my Blue Heeler, I watch her like a hawk since I am well aware of her herding/nipping tendencies. She has never had any issues with kids, but that doesn't mean I'd ever leave her unsupervised with a kid.

I never said my children are unsupervised around my dog.

all solid points

Pitbulls are like guns. And we all know guns don't kill people.

Tchula, MS is the armpit of America. It's a 1.5 sq. mile trailer park with about 2,000 people living in poverty. Most have pitbulls to keep their neighbors from stealing their shite. Sadly the town has a history of children getting killed due to the parents negligence.

All that ever comes out of Pitt bull owners mouthes is, "they never" and "they are so gentle".

This has to be a troll. One has a brain and is capable of acting on its own. the other one isn't.

I'm sure these fit the mold of the average poor trashy victims, right?

Betty Todd
Betty Todd, 65-years old, was brutally killed by her son's pit bull while babysitting his three children. Her son, Andrew Todd, and his wife were out to dinner at the time. The eldest child called her father, alerting him to the attack then "evacuated" her younger siblings out of the house. Deputies arrived to a bloody aggressive pit bull inside the home. When deputies were able to enter, they discovered the woman's body lifeless on the living room floor covered in blood with bite wounds on her head, face and neck. The coroner's report said that Betty died of severe neck and spinal injuries. The family had owned the pit bull for four years. The victim's brother-in-law, David Todd, told the media, "This dog has never shown any aggression before." It was later revealed that the dog had killed the family's Siberian husky four months earlier. The pit bull had been neutered just days before killing Betty Todd in hopes of lowering its aggression.

Elsie Grace
Elsie Grace, 91-years old, was discovered dead in a hotel room after being mauled to death by her son's two pit bulls. Hemet police Lt. Duane Wisehart said the victim had "a great deal of trauma to her body." Elsie and her son had been staying at the hotel because they were in the process of relocating to Hemet. Her son was away at the time of the deadly attack. Elsie was a nationally known watercolorist who taught for 33 years at Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree. After her retirement, she was commissioned by La Quinta Hotel and painted 230 watercolor views of the hotel's casitas. Elsie was also a member of the La Quinta Arts Association and exhibited her work at the La Quinta Arts Foundation's Art Under the Umbrellas event. Family members created a memorial website to celebrate her life and to start the Elsie Grace Scholarship for the Arts Fund

Ryan Maxwell
Ryan Maxwell, 7-years old, was attacked and killed by a pit bull while visiting family friends at a home on Whiting Avenue. Ryan had spent the previous night at the home. At the time of the attack, the boy had been playing in the backyard. Investigators believe the dog was tethered before the attack, but broke free. When police arrived, the pit bull was still clamped onto the boy's neck. After police "disengaged" the dog, the animal was shot to death to prevent additional attacks. The boy was transported to Cottage Hospital where he later died from his injuries. The owner of the pit bull, Ashiya Ferguson, said she tried everything she could to get the dog off the boy, including beating the dog with a shovel. "I couldn't stop it. I couldn't stop it." Ferguson repeated in anguish after the attack. She vowed to never own another pit bull again. In June, authorities announced that no charges would be filed. According to Knox County Assistant State's Attorney Elisa Tanner, there was no evidence that a crime occurred.

Katherine Atkins
Katherine Atkins, 25-years old, was brutally struck down by her boyfriend's two pit bulls. Her body was discovered about 6:25 pm on Stable Hill Trail off Pumpkin Ridge Road by her boyfriend's roommate. At the time of the attack, Atkins had stopped by to feed the male and female pit bulls when they attacked her. No one witnessed the attack. The two dogs were housed in a fenced-in area behind the home. When deputies arrived on scene, they found Katherine lying dead in the backyard near the dogs' outdoor enclosure. Investigators said the dogs were running loose in the area when authorities arrived. Officials said that Atkins had been around the pit bulls since they were puppies and there was "no history of problems or aggression" with the animals. Albert (Tico) Jacobs, the woman's boyfriend and owner of the dogs, surrendered them to Forsyth County Animal Control, which euthanized the animals. According to Jacobs' Facebook page, he and Atkins had been dating since 2008. The sheriff's office called the young woman's death a "terrible tragedy" and do not expect to file criminal charges.

OR, maybe how about you just follow the advice above with a breed that's not inherently been bred TO KILL????
What is SO fricking attractive about pit bulls over Labs, Goldens, Beagles, etc, that you think it's worth the risk of owning one over a less deadly breed?
Honestly, just admit it, you like them because they're "baddass" and "tough looking" and can "kick any other dog's arse" right?
Or, you have a small small penis.
Or both.

That's it's not just the Pits owned by "poor trash" and bred to fight that attack and kill innocent people. Those were just a few prime examples of people killed by Pits that were just "normal" dogs before they snapped and killed someone.

Well, that's irrelevant now because he's dead. Thanks to a pitbull.

Pit bulls hate children
Children and elderly people can't fight them off easily. The problem isn't the frequency of the attack so much as particularly viscious nature of them.
There's another story of a sudden attack of a toddler in Texas yesterday by a pit bull. The mother took the child into the bathroom and called the police. It should be no surprise that the police were more than happy to shoot the dog.
