Well, in all fairness, how many Ivy League type Captains of Industry own Pit Bulls?
I don't know that, but Hellen Keller loved hers.
Rachael Ray is a thug POS
Jessica Biel, WNHI Pitt Bull Owner.
quote:
Kaley Cuoco wasn’t the only celeb upset by Ripa’s ignorant pit bull comments. Cuoco’s occasional “BBT” co-star Wil Wheaton also took to Twitter — and he blasted Ripa’s remarks. In his first tweet, he said, “According to @KellyRipa, Pit Bulls are ‘dangerous’ and ‘the gangster’s dog.’ Her ignorance breaks my heart, and will hurt Pits in shelters.”
He followed that up with, “I’m not a gangster. My friend @KaleyCuoco is not a gangster. My dog Seamus is not dangerous. @KellyRipa couldn’t be more wrong. Millions of people listen to @KellyRipa. When she spreads misinformation about Pit Bulls, it makes it less likely people will adopt them. I hope @KellyRipa will do some research, spend some time with a Pit Bull, and correct the misleading impression she gave millions of people.”
The former “Star Trek” star also took to Tumblr to defend the breed, pointing out that pits make great therapy, service, and search and rescue dogs. His wife Anne also joined in, tweeting that neither she nor Wil are gangsters or thugs. For the record, the pair have two rescue pits: Seamus and Marlowe.
Wesley Crusher likes his.
Jon Stewart has two.
and who can forget the world's most famous Pitt-Bull?
The breed is strong, so the breed can kill. But every pit bull attack seems to happen in a trailer park or in the hood somewhere. Probably because they train these dogs to be fightning stock.
Feed them fireworks and crap (yes people do this)

I'll be in charge if that pitbull ever walks on my lawn without a leash.
I bet you will...... You're going to just shoot an innocent dog for no good reason right?

Why, what are you going to do Mr Man?
I won't sugar coat it. If I were to walk outside and see your dog in my yard I'd kill it without hesitation.
Thankfully that could never happen as that useless breed of dog is against our home owners covenant.

Aren't pits banned in Denver?
And Aurora. Maybe some of the anti-breed crowd should relocate here

I created my username when living in New Orleans for a summer internship. I really don't have enough ties to justify the username but I am stuck with it now

I would love to live in Denver. I guess I'd have to wait for my Amstaff to pass.

Who gives a frick if some Hollywood stars have one?
My opinion is based off real life experience, and I have seen three pitbull attacks (two to my own dog) and 0 (zero) by any other breed. Combine that with all the news you hear and I have no sympathy whatsoever for that breed. I agree with cities like Denver banning them.

My good reason is because he's trespassing on my lawn, I perceive him to be a threat to my life, and the law states he must be on a leash.
If I can shoot a person on my property who I perceive to be a threat to my life, then a lowly fricking pitbull should be no different. I'd just be upset if I couldn't get his owner too.

While we are banning Pit Bulls, lets ban all guns. 100's of children die each year from accidental deaths involving firearms. The only people that own firearms are Thug POS and White Trash POS.
It is shocking that all you have to do is change the word pit bull to fire arm and all of these anti-pit bull comments would be just as valid...

What do you know about pits besides they can kill?
Their owners are typically the trashiest of the trash.
But when you say they kill and that's all you need to know, that's as sad as it gets. Even more sad, that's about 80% of the people who post in threads like this; all they know is they kill.
Like a guy said earlier, is this even a pit bull? American bully? Or is it just a "pit bull type dog"? Remember when the police said she was "100% sure that Niko was pure pit"? Yeah. The white one above on the 1st page looks like one, but too far too tell.
Been saying this all along and will continue to. Pits are BRED to fight! Just like labs are BRED to retrieve! It's in it's to fight. What may seem like nothing but be the world ending to them.
Not taking up for them at all because in this, seems 100% dog fault. But don't talk shite on something you know nothing about, yet alone when it isn't even confirmed it was a pit. A shitty teacher can only teach a kid so much before the kid fails his math test. Think of the pit as the student and owner as teacher.

Well, to be fair, I've had dogs (shepherd mixes) jump my face to attack my dog. Of course, they were strays and not neutered.

Guns serve a purpose and don't have a mind of their own

Yeah, until the day the pit snaps and kills your Golden. Our neighbor's pit was the sweetest thing, LOVED to play with my Mom's Golden Retriever. One day, out of the blue, the pit snapped, attacked the Golden, latched on to her back and would not let go. My Mom and the pit owner tried pulling the pit off, the owner ended up hitting it across the head with a two by four sevearl times to get it to release. Mom's Golden had bad puncture wounds on her back, and all of the skin and muscle torn from her bones. She had to have drains put in to clear the infection, and was scared to death of all other dogs after that. Sorry for your coming loss. frick all pit bulls.
Could be but I don't see it. We limit their interaction because my golden is grumpy as shite with energetic dogs. Again, I'm just waiting to hear about a story like this that didn't involve trashy ownership. Maybe yours is it, but usually the owners are totally irresponsible.
Pit bulls are powerful, so the risk is there. But I don't see the risk as any higher with similarly powerful dogs my dog plays with (german shepherds, great pyranees, etc.)

You would discharge a firearm in a neighborhood where children are just because a dog is in your yard? My gosh.
