Is it that tough to let the old guy win, and just walk away?

When you are the epitome of a loser, all you have is the idea that you are a tough guy and your identity is tied to it. But unfortunately for him, nobody ever thinks of someone hitting an older man as a tough guy.

I agree for CPT Roidrage but apparently he has kids. Home addresses should be avoided. Chances are, between his military career and legal consequences, he'll pay plenty. Let's not harass innocent children at their home over their daddy's huge mistake.

Doxxing is generally a pussy move.

I don't know if regret, but if the guy is already out of jail and has no priors I'm not sure he spends another night in jail.

Reality of how our system works.

Probably pleads down to some misdemeanors or something. Everyone hopeful this guy ends up in poundtown is probably going to be let down.

In the end he hit someone who went home the next day with what sounds like no issues. We have probably all seen a fight end just like this. Assault charges that get pled down because of his stellar record blah blah blah....

I doubt it.

He got checked out and was released from the hospital the same day.

Roidboy has to scrounge up 25K just to get out on bond plus he's done as far as his career goes in the national guard. All for being nothing more than a grade A jerk. He can thank himself for putting himself and his family in this position.

I'd buy that elderly gentleman dinner.

Had the old man known what the reaction would have been by this a-hole, I got a feeling he doesn't talk shite given the opportunity again.

Telling someone to leave a woman alone who's being bullied isn't 'talking shite.'

Does he have a previous record or has he been clean until now? If he’s almost 40 and has never been in trouble before it’s still very unfortunate he had to frick his life up now over something so stupid. But I’m sure the judge would consider that and probably give him a light sentence and some anger management classes or something.

And then his commanding officer & a court-martial board are going to go in dry.

UCMJ. Those guys are held to a higher standard.

The old man literally says "well do it, c'mon do it again" as he is following the d-bag back to his minivan. So yea, I'd say he is talking shite at that point.

Also, I agree the part you are talking about telling the guy to leave the women alone is not talking shite.

Talk shite? He was just telling the guy to leave the women alone and not be such a disrespectful arse. Then the cpt had to show his nuts and physically try to intimidate a smaller person. Again I commend the actions of the old guy, tells me more about his character than some of y’all on here calling him a buffoon.

He says it after roidboy takes exception to the elderly man saying leave the woman alone then approaches the elderly man while saying, "I can get violent with you because you're a guy."

None of what happens after that happens if that idiot just ignores him and gets in the car.

I'm not talking about that part of the incident. I'm talking about the following this ticking time bomb after it clearly shows him going back to the van and the incident would have been over. I think its quite clear the guy was looking for a fight, why instigate him??? Yall watching too many hollywood movies thinking this old man had it planned to get knocked the hell out.

Agreed. But as much as the a-hole could've gotten in the van like you said, couldn't the old man kept quiet after he made the point to lay off the ladies and not followed the a-hole when he was finally leaving? I mean it's a fair question imo.

He of course could have. My interpretation of his actions were that he saw this guy being completely disrespectful to a woman who was trying to back out of a parking spot, felt it was necessary to walk up to her and command her to leave, as if he's her superior. Furthermore, when the woman who recorded it said, "leave her alone" and he says, "I am." then she repeats it, he goes from calm to full on Mt. St. Helens and hollers, "I am bitch. Shut the F up and go. F you. I'll crush all of you."

The guy was being an out of control idiot and the elderly man had seen enough. He could've kept his mouth shut and enabled more of the same from this guy, as I think others have done in the past. Which is why he was acting the way he was. No one had the balls to stand up to him.

I don't think the elderly man was looking for a fight but he was sick of seeing this guy talk to all these strangers in the way he was.

If he acts like that in public, how is he behind closed doors? Why didn't the person (whoever that may be) that was in the driver's seat get out?

For all we know, the elderly man is retired armed forces as well.

I applaud him and don't think he was wrong at all.

100% agree. I really am curious as to how Suarez would have reacted if it was a younger man calling him out. Being former military and seeing his actions as a captain, no less, I tend to believe he wouldn’t have been as cocky if the guy was of equal stature.

I thought of that too. I'd bet he wouldn't be so quick to do the "oh you're a guy" thing if it were someone younger.

I don't understand why some on here think the elderly guy was asking for it.

If the muscle guy just gets in his car (it's bad enough he got out of it to holler at the lady in the truck) but if he just gets in the car and leaves, none of what transpires from the old man saying "leave her alone" happens.

That's what it boils down to.
