How he acts behind closed doors is not our business. I can tell ya one thing, this situation prolly didn't make it any better.

Also, I think we are misunderstanding each other's point birdman. Im totally fine with the old man sticking up for the ladies. My only problem is that when the old man says " go ahead and do it" while he is following the bully, he at that point becomes an instigator. Can you not agree with what im saying at that point of the conflict? And if you can't, I hear ya. I guess you can chalk this up to agree to disagree between our opinions on the matter.

Yeah, it baffles me too, I would’ve been thankful for him stepping up if that was my mom or grandma that he was cussing out. And thanks for your support!

I didn't say it was.

My point was that if he is acting like this in public and loses his mind because an elderly man says, "leave her alone" and he then proceeds to walk from his vehicle to confront the man while saying "You're a guy I can get violent with you" is what incited the confrontation.

What he should've done was get in his car and left. He could have but he felt it was necessary to confront a man that's at least 40 years older. I'm not even talking about the punch. Just walking across the parking lot to confront the elderly man is dumb. It's bad enough he felt it necessary to get out and verbally command the woman in the silver truck to leave.

No I don't. The older man was tired of that man's conduct and stood up to him. Good for him.

I think it's fairly obvious that not many have stood up to this guy which is why he hollered at the woman in the truck, those that were filming, and the elderly man. Elderly man wasn't having it so he stood up to him.

The elderly man is ok and the guy that hit him is in jail and his future is screwed.

. Being former military and seeing his actions as a captain, no less, I tend to believe he wouldn’t have been as cocky if the guy was of equal stature.

Yeah. I mean he was bullying a bunch of white mandeville women and geriatrics.

I'd bet money He would have probably checked his temper if he was in little woods.

Old man was sick of Suarez’s threats and behavior. Suarez saw a smaller and weaker adversary and let his emotions take over,

A GoFundMe account has been set-up for Mike Pennington, the 60 year old victim, with a $15k goal. The account is easily found on Facebook.

Well it looks like Suarez will need to come up with around $100K cash to get out of jail on a $1,000,000,000 bond.

Seems like staying out and getting credit for time served would be a better deal in this case. $100k is pretty damn steep.

And then his commanding officer & a court-martial board are going to go in dry.

UCMJ. Those guys are held to a higher standard.

I feel some might be disappointed. This isn't Hollywood. I've seen some dumb crap get looked past or get a slap on the wrist.

He's in the Guard, maybe his unit kicks him to the curb, but I highly doubt he gets any court martial, especially since he wasn't in a duty status.

If every douchebag that punched someone got kicked out of the military...

Had the old man known what the reaction would have been by this a-hole, I got a feeling he doesn't talk shite given the opportunity again.

It might not have been the smartest move for him to go near the guy, but as long as he is physically ok, he's not nearly as bad off as roid rage loser who is now having his life turned upside down. And some lawyer will be milking him so bad that he won't be able to afford the payments anymore on that sexy minivan he has.

Here is the key issue. He may be in the Guard, but unless he was on active duty at the time they will not have (for the most part) jurisdiction on him for this particular matter.
