What the hell? I had no idea you guys were getting that much rain down there. Are we seeing any evacuations or anything like that?

I was on the radio earlier and heard a unit confirm he was on scene and no breach.
The Franklin exit on 610 was blocked off and the water was high as hell in that area

On vacation in Florida but from my neighbor's pictures, my wife's vehicle definitely took on water in Lakeview.

The Corps of Engineers have been installing new pumps on the Orleans Avenue, London Avenue and 17th Street Canals at the Lake for a few years now. They have started pulling the old ones at Orleans that I know of. Maybe the new ones aren't on line yet and pumping capacity is lower with them starting to remove the old ones?

We headed to Satchmo Fest, but downpour started as we got to the Flea Market in the French Quarter. When we left to head home, we walked across flooded sidewalks in the Quarter. The water in Jackson Square looked like a waterfall coming over the steps facing the cathedral. I got a video of it, but not a clue how to post it.

Thank God. They just got back into their house, I didn't want to be forced to go to theirs.
