But I did the mendenhall glacier in Alaska.

Unreal. Bald eagles sitting 10 ft away as you paddle by.

White water rafting is more enjoyable to me than kayaking, but I enjoy both.

I recommended spending a couple of hours kayaking through downtown when in Austin last week, but got chastised by not wanting to drink 19 Miller Lites at a ‘cajun’ bar instead.

The Nanny is definitely a great starter river if you're looking in to whitewater.

It's cold as absolute balls even in the summer, though.

We kayak a lot. At least twice a month we will venture to one of the state parks nearby (Middle-TN) and spend a day on the water kayaking and drinking. Hit a small local hole in the wall after.
