Nah I think teachers and police should be the most highly scrutinized and paid jobs in the government.
It should be at least. You can not scrutinize the police or teachers as well bc pay is so bad and no one wants to do it to the standard.
Until the police and teacher pay raises you really can tag on them much even if they are doing a terrible job. It’s so shitty that these jobs are not getting paid more bc then you would actually have people cometing for these jobs I stead of falling back to them.
Just my opinion.

The most underpaid people are those working as staff at colleges and universities. Have to put up with a lot of crap from students, underpaid, and, unlike professors (and teachers), they don't get the summers off.
For advisors and those in student affairs, they also get blame from both administrations and students when something goes wrong that's not their fault at all.
