I just want to say this completely depends on the person. I met a guy at work with a face tat, former crack dealer/user who cleaned his life up. He was a nice guy, extremely intelligent, but passed over by the educational system. Always called me his n***a. One day I asked him, why do you call me that. I wouldn't call you that. He said he didn't give a shite if I did.
Been cool with it ever since.
Now the time I did it at his family's camp, about 30 black guys busted out laughing and 3 wanted to brawl. One really wanted to.
Old guys insisted we box and broke out the gloves. I boxed him with a beer in one hand
I can't drive down highland without someone shouting it at me as I pass.

If you saw a petty crime in a black neighborhood, say a car being broken into or a bicycle being stolen, would you call police? Or does your distrust in law enforcement prevent you from doing that?
