We had a few minutes of high wind, sideways rain around 8PM, but it calmed down pretty quickly.

Some pine tree branches from nextdoor sailed across the yard.

From Glenmora up to Forest Hill and Lecompte and Woodworth, any of those couplets could produce a quick spin-up tornado.

It's storming downtown, but not like that. Like bad for a regular storm.

They just said the wind is going to get to 70mph south of town.

Yeah, whatever it was has rolled over us. We the only house with power thanks to the generator.

Looks like Monroe and the areas that had the ice storm are going to miss the wind. That's good because of all the damaged trees that would have made a mess of the power again.
