I moved from Albuquerque to Hammond in 2023.

I'll be damned......in a twist of life imitating art, you went and proved the old trope true. You really did take a wrong turn at Albuquerque.

That's a hell of a lot better than being on the losing side.

THIS IS TREASON WITH RECEIPTS…

Put this in the pile of ultra damning evidence and let's get to the hanging. Convictions should be but a formality.

You need to worry about your damn self, ma'am.

There you go again......so profane. Such a nasty woman you are.

Yeah, but you've spent most of the day and half the night hemorrhaging all over your other thread raging at any and everyone who has an opinion different than yours. You've gone through quite the list of derogatory, childish namecalling. You need to ease up a bit, ma'am. Respectfully, of course.

Don't you muddy this discussion up with your smarm

Yeah! Instead, we need more of Ed calling everyone who disagrees with her "retards" and "smart asses".
There are a couple of posters who have vehemently argued that this is not possible.

Who is this person? Their entire online identity consists of a fictional character and an old TV show.

Important to notice: Men in suits in Iran are not in control. IRGC is, and I think the message is clear. Vahidi is the IRGC chief. He calls the shots

Many of those men in suits are former IRGC commanders —some high ranking — including Ghalibaf.

This probably isn't nearly as clear cut a statement as is being presented, especially where longstanding loyalties and connections come into play.

Who is Trump going to negotiate with when there is no leader calling the shots?

That's the question that some have been asking since these "negotiations" began.

I think Norm considered himself more of a humorist.

I think that may be the perfect label for him. He seems to have approached all of life from that attitude or perspective. Chapel talks about working with Norm very shortly after his (Chapel's) dad died. He said that he had no desire to work on that film, but being around Norm — whom he had little prior relationship with — immediately brightened his outlook and put him in a better frame of mind. He talked about how Norm's whole life could have been a bit, or it may not have been......you couldn't tell. I think that is probably a nod to the real Norm than anything else.
Well, they have damn near a trillion dollars this year, and they're begging for another 200 billion whilst they are already pandering for a bump to 1.5 trillion next year.

I believe they can figure it out.

This is an interesting article about Norm and Billy Joe Shaver's friendship.

I had never heard that story about Sam regarding making little things big and big things little. I love that.

That hitler joke is the perfect example of that. He couldn't have picked a better illustration to use.

That is one of the best things I have ever gotten from TD. Thank you for sharing it.

I thank the "algorithm" for that one. I watch a good bit of Norm stuff in spurts, but didn't know the guy who made that video. I'm glad it showed up while it is still new.

You’ve got that deep dark top secret info? Impressive.

They were very vocal about it after the June bombings that obliterated Iran's nuclear capability. Bibi and others wouldn't shut up about the enriched uranium. The first clue was when they said that they feared Iran had been able to remove it to a safe location prior to those bombings. That story — you can read that as public quotes — changed multiple times after that.

You don't have to be Mossad or CIA, you dingle berry, to follow the bouncing fricking ball.
Israel has been the source of most of the intel regarding that, and their story has changed multiple times. They may or may not be confident that they actually do know where it is.

Wasn’t he a part of the crew that met in Islamabad, and Vance said we needed to meet with Iranians that could actually approve a deal?

No one knows, and that's the problem. There are clearly a couple, maybe more, factions within the Iranian regime. That is likely by design at this time.

What is pretty indisputable at this point is that Ghalibaf has been directly involved with negotiations since they first began. We tried to keep his identity secret, declining to confirm many reports — from valid and trusted sources — that he was the point man in those negotiations presumably to protect his wellbeing within the regime.

Vance's comments can be taken many different ways, and that ambiguity is intentional. The truth is that we, nor anyone else on the outside, don't know who is truly calling the shots. Ghalibaf has been the most vocal and forward facing and he's received little public pushback from other parties within the regime to this point.
