I've been very clear on the types of updates that are needed in this thread.

I'm sure you have....but it seems like most people want just some kind of arbitrary date like what Entergy sent out today/yesterday.

Money is an obstacle fwiw. A company this highly regulated can't just outsource 100s of personnel without there being a way to recoup that cost. A customer liason isn't covered by FEMA nor will you see that line on your Entergy bill which the company can only charge for specific things.

By comparison, we note that three named Hurricanes between August 2020 and October 2020 (Delta, Laura, and Zeta), along with Winter Storm Uri (February 2021), resulted in ETR incurring $2.06 billion in costs, consisting of $1.8 billion in capital costs, and $0.38 billion in non-capital costs, for restoration work. ETR filed with Louisiana state regulators to securitize $2.18 billion in system restoration bonds, and a hearing is slated for January '22. We expect ETR may pursue a similar strategy on Ida.

those are billions with a "b"

My neighbors collected 1000$ each ( around 60 residents) and we asked the lineman to ask the entergy rep to come meet with us on Monday night. We handed him and envelope and we had power the next day, money talks

And. Did you read what you wrote? The regulators have to sign off on what they can recoup through bonds. That doesn't change what I said. If anything it supports it. If they paid 200 contractors (these people aren't working for $15/hour) for 2-4 weeks to simply be "customer liaisons" you're talking millions of dollars.

I really would like to know where moneyg would want to put in these extra workers to relay information to specific neighborhoods. Are they standing over the switching operators? Shadowing the managers? Staring at PI screens? Scanning emails?

Those lineman stole your money and sent some random friend to act like a rep. You were getting your power back that day anyway.

Yep!

Asplundh was on Sevenoaks just down the street from Lobdell yesterday whacking branches. Which is good, because those lines at Sevenoaks and Lobdell are all kinds of fricked up.

BRZ spoke to the entergy rep and though EBRs official timetable is the 6th he said most of the city should be back by today.

"Most" as in "More than 90% of the entire city is happy" or "most" as in "50% + 1, so I'm technically correct. Deal with it, motherfricker." ?
