which infrastructure?

Whataburger mobile app, that was part of the joke. It works better than anything Centerpoint has done. I missed this earlier, apologies.

But, I will say, the "infrastructure" ratings are typically issued by the ACSE (American Society of Civil Engineers,) who don't in any way benefit from six and seven figure projects to "fix" stuff.

Yet, we don't have $4k (guessing) gates to keep people from driving into 12' of water on 59.

In-laws have now been over 4 straight nights as they don’t have power in Hunters Creek of all places. Heads need to roll

Seeing an unfortunate trend with generac. My SiL still hasn't got satisfaction of them yet. And still no power in Gleanloch

Damn dude. Think it’s another faulty board?

Just got oil changed and back and running here on the trusty outdoor sportsman.

Doubtful. It fires and runs fine but it's getting 0 voltage to the line side of the breaker. Checked stator resistance and its out of spec, so i'm thinking the alternator took a shite. I just downloaded a service manual and going through more diagnostics, but it's not looking good.

There will be hell to pay for Generac for this. They've been begging me to put their shite on my approved vendor list for the funds I work with and this just sealed the deal and i'm telling them to get fricked Monday morning.

The ineptitude of CP or complexity of their grid is mindblowing.

Its amazing you can drive around and a majority of places have power and then have a small subset in between not have it.

Example, the MarQ area... Everything in that shopping/entertainment center has power except the Chic Fil A and the 3-4 businesses in the building adjacent to them.

In my less than expert opinion, that's likely a local transformer issue and those are the last to be resolved. They call it a "nested" outage.

Insane that there are no trees or anything in that area, its literally a parking lot and every single thing around them on all sides has power and they are on an island of darkness.

I wonder if Abbott is going to launch a probe into CP and their activities/response.

Saw last night there were still around 800k out of the original 2.1m without power.

Half my neighborhood here in KW has power. Map still shows me as July 12th but the energized part did change to dark green. Hoping mine is soon.

“I wonder if Abbott is going to launch a probe into CP and their activities/response.”

Heck, I am wondering if he is ever going to come back to the state of Texas from his overseas boondoggle.

Haven't paid attention to where he's at, just that Patrick is acting Gov for the moment... Doesn't really matter, not like Abbott would be doing anything different than what Patrick is currently.

He left for an economic development conference in Asia while hurricane was in gulf picking its target..
Sure he is on a nice air conditioned five star hotel enjoying cocktails.

Yeah I imagine nothing would be different.. but what does that say.. we really do not need him???

He is the elected top leader.. he should have come back.

I still don’t have a restoration date estimate. This is really wild.

I think Abbott is more than capable of delegating this to Dan Patrick...

And according to DP, Lina said she didn't need any help. Lots of finger pointing.

This is a CenterPoint readiness and prioritization issue. Not sure how Abbott could have helped there.

You realize the impact is beyond just Lina’s area??? Sorta a state issue.
