I agree, Ive always been a fan. I was disgusted with the left and the green energy push and now Im disgusted with the rights worship.

Again this is about the tech, not his views, which I align with..

None of your links have any direct quotes from Elon Musk stating Tesla fully autonomous driving will be ready next year for the past 5 years? In all of your thinks you have one direct quote from him saying he thinks self-service vehicles will be a thing in 2 years. So you are just a mindless bot and an idiot?

At any rate, given the fact that he never said what you said, Tesla’s FSD beta is still far and away ahead of any like-competitors on the market. FSD was first released in 2020 and right now there are a growing number of routine instances where FSD Teslas are getting its passengers to and from their destination with NO or very little intervention. I can provide examples if you’d like.

The acceleration of autonomous vehicles is largely due to musk and to attempt to downplay his advancements in that domain is intellectual dishonesty. Especially considering he never said what you think he said and it’s better than what any other competitor offers. It’s like saying the light bulb was garbage when people were still using lamps. But that’s been the story of most his businesses so far……..

Except he promised on Autonomy day 2019 that full self driving (like actual autonomous vehicles, not the FSD™ marketing term) would be available in 2019 with robotaxis driving passengers by the next year after government approval.

Also Mercedes has beaten tesla to level 3 autonomy. It debuted in Germany last year and will be coming to the states later this year.

Why?

He's human, will say something everyone disagrees with.

How about we praise people when we like what they do or say, and we don't when they disappoint us? This idea you have to either like or dislike someone is ridiculous.

So, you're in denial about basic psychology and human evolution? Are human beings not tribal?

I would love the explanation of how the left LOVED Musk when he was saving the world from filthy disgusting ICE automobiles, but now that he owns Twitter and is not at the bidding of the Deep State (tm) to silence whom they want silenced, now he's "literally Hitler" and a threat to democracy.

I don't expect one from you with your

It’s really not hard to use Google, or even just click link sources within articles my man

All of those articles specifically reference statements he made, or are reports on publicly available statements he made.

You are doing that disingenuous thing that people that know they lost the argument begin doing. Where they try and obfuscate by sealioning instead of just admitting they are wrong.

Literally took 5 seconds of Googling to get you the earnings call referenced in link 1

quote:

I am pretty excited about how much progress we're making on the neural net front. And it's a little – it's also one of those things that's kind of exponential where the progress doesn't seem – it doesn't seem like much progress, it doesn't seem like much progress, and suddenly wow.

That's been my observation generally with AI stuff. And you look at say something like what Google DeepMind did with AlphaGo. It went from not being able to beat even a pretty good Go player to something that could beat the European champion, then it could beat the world champion, then it could thrash the world champion, then it could thrash everyone simultaneously. Then they made AlphaZero, which could thrash AlphaGo, and where it's just learning against itself, was better than all the world's human experts.

It's going to kind of be like that for self-driving. It will feel like well this is a lame driver, lame driver. Like okay, that's a pretty good driver. Like holy cow, this driver's good. It'll be like that. I mean, timing-wise, I think we could probably do a coast-to-coast drive in three months, six months at the outside.

LINK

Man’s out there in 2017 claiming they are 6 months at most from being able to do a coast to coast fully autonomous vehicle trip. Placing his tech next to fricking AlphaGo and using claims like his tech is basically on an “exponential growth” curb, implying insane progress at a quick turnaround….5 years later and that coast to coast trip still hasn’t happened

He’s a hype man, and as that last link shows, he knows what is keeping the lights on and those share prices propped up, and it’s the hope of Tesla’s auto drive tech emerging on the near horizon and dominating the vehicle travel industry.

You are just as bad as the left.

Right on dude. My buddies all think democrats are the devil and republicans are virtuous, in reality they are all looking out for themselves. They are the same person, just have a different marketing campaign.

A man from Nixon's era is hard to peg sometimes, which is why I did not specifically say he was racist. He did have what would have been a fairly common attitude toward the African American community for men of his time.

Vehicle travel: robotaxis, freight, licensing out the tech to other manufacturers.

That’s the pitch end play and why Tesla is amongst the smaller car producers but has a higher share price and valuation than any other vehicle manufacturer. And why cracks in that likelihood and timeline is coinciding with a major drop in stock prices recently

True. Politics were much different then. Hell, Joe D Waggoner was a life long Democrat as well as a confidant of Nixons.
