Hell I wish. That got sold. For less than they thought it would because the cash market in NOLA isn’t as high as they’d hoped. Thanks for knowing who I am on here though, makes me feel special.

It took about 350 times, but I’m glad it stuck. Not sure who you are though.

My father gave me 200 shares of Apple stock as a gift in 1985 when it was about $2.00 a share.

I still have it.

My great grandmother was a handicapped seamstress in New Orleans during the depression. She specialized in making those incredibly long ornate drapes that hang in rich people houses. Because of this specialty she sewed while standing at a long table all day. When he day was done she retired to her chair with tea and the Bible. The chair eventually wore out, springs broke and it looked like something one would throw away. But it survived in my family simply because it was “granny’s chair”. After my grandparents passed away somehow I ended up with it. I put it in my attic with plans to “one day” have it restored. Fast forward many years, many moves, college, etc.... and eventually getting married. Told my wife the story of the chair. One day I come home on my birthday and see the chair in our living room.... beautifully and professionally restored. Wow. My best gift? That woman.

One of the greatest gifts I've ever been blessed with was that I got to spend two of the happiest years of my life with the sweetest, most wonderful woman I've ever known and loved before she passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2009.
