re: Anyone Try Taco Fuego?

Had my first try today. They have a few here in my area in Texas. Would like other folks opinion!

I stopped by the Baton Rouge location today and ordered the chicken burrito bowl. It was a generous portion and really good. Even with it being opening day, there wasn’t a line. They mentioned the menu is limited for now but will expand soon. I’ll definitely be back — next time I’m trying the tacos. Would definitely recommend!

Or do they just not care about baseball?

I think teams from the northern states absolutely care about baseball—they just don’t have the same opportunities to be outside early in the season. When LSU Tigers baseball played Dartmouth Big Green baseball and Northeastern Huskies baseball, it was reportedly the first time those teams had practiced or played outdoors this year. Meanwhile, LSU has been outside and working since fall ball.

That’s a pretty significant difference. Southern programs naturally have a weather advantage when it comes to preparation and early-season reps, and that can show up on the field.
Baseball can be a fickle sport, and LSU has dropped a couple of games they probably should’ve won. If I remember right, that happened last season too and they still went on to win the College World Series title. It’s still early, and I believe LSU will be just fine.

And just to clarify, they lost to Northeastern University out of Lowell—not Northwestern University in Evanston—but I’m sure you already knew that.

I've always thought the Clemson Tiger Mascot was pretty bad.

All of the above along with all of other snobs you could name.

However, your comments about the "old box" doesn't make any sense since the new box was opened almost a decade after he retired.

That's why I called it the Old Box because it's where all LSU's baseball games were played before the New Alex Box was opened. Sorry if that caused any confusion.
It just wouldn’t feel like a new day on the SECr without captlsudalton starting another thread about his “favorite” school, LSU.
Why wouldn't be? I don't think you're going to get shot or anything.

It took until 1985 to be a "Baseball school". That's weird.

To be honest, it took Skip to turn LSU into a baseball school. Up until he arrived, it was pretty much an afterthought. Most people in attendance at the old Box was a few diehards and players parents.

I’ll ask again—what’s wrong with taking pride in all the sports your school competes in? I’m genuinely curious, because I haven’t really heard a clear answer to that.

re: A visit to Sears with Mom in 1977

I remember the days when we would come visit my Grandmother who lived in Walker and we'd drive to Baton Rouge to go to the big Sears on Florida Boulevard. Those were the good ole days!
I’m not sure what “100% unvaccinated” really means, because like many people, I received vaccinations as a child. I was also vaccinated during my 30 years in the military, so I can’t honestly say I’m completely unvaccinated. I am a supporter of Trump, even though there are some of his actions and decisions I don’t agree with. Above all, I consider myself a patriot! :usa:

Guy can’t stop obsessing over his exes. I’m a little concerned for his mental health at this point.

The irony is rich—OP starts a thread about Lane Kiffin obsessing over his ex, all while obsessing over his own school’s former coach.
I watched part of the game last night and do most all that are televised.
Congratulations! I retired for the second time on December 31!
I still think he should change his username to captlsudalton.
I respectfully disagree with your post because I was in attendance and left because of being disgusted with Kelly and what I was seeing on the field, not because I’m a fair-weather fan. Let me ask you this: Have you ever left a game early because you didn’t like what you were seeing on the field? Have you ever been so frustrated that you criticized the coaches? If you can answer yes to either of those questions, then maybe it’s time to put the stones down and walk away — because none of us is without fault.

Trust me, I am not the only one who knows LSU fans are the SEC’s premiere fairweather fanbase. We all see them migrate away every November.

What makes you think LSU Tigers football fans are fair-weather fans? I’ve been supporting them since the 1960s and never once considered jumping ship — not even during the tough Curley Hallman years. You all need to stop judging and stereotyping a fanbase because of a select few.
Before I decided to watch my diet and eat healthy, i probably could have eaten at least six. Now, I have no desire to have a donut.

Show me where ANY LSU fans cares about MBB?

I care about LSU Men's Basketball and want to see it become a good program again.

I believe God has a special place reserved for these type of people who preach a false gospel and it isn't in Heaven.
