Like many generations, there’s a huge gap in thought during the boomer years (IMO). My parents are boomers, but pretty much against this type of bullshite. My dad grew up poor, so being frugal and hoarding money was a way to alleviate the fear. Hell, my aunt was a baby during the depression. That said, a certain amount of money was “enough”, and the idea that you should squash those under you in order to get richer isn’t something on their radar, presumably the same for others in that era. I think the late boomers are more cut throat in that regard.
