Arizona is both prettier and more laid back than Texas.
Well, the comparison wouldn’t be between states. The Valley isn’t exactly the same as Austin or DFW.

Teams have trained in the RGV before, but that was nearly a century ago.
The newer facilities are like baseball resorts. Tons of former players and current ST instructors live in AZ and FL year round. These new parks have infrastructure, nearby lodging, and everything you need.
For you to suddenly try to compete, you’d need probably 8-10 teams total to uproot and head to the Rio Grande Valley. That’s not practical.
I’m sure the RGV would support it, but I don’t think that’s the point in terms of that business.
ETA: the valley would have to step up their resort and golf course game

I’ve gone back to drinking cheap beer. I’ll have me a Frio 6.0 or two and relax a bit on the weekend. Times are tough, and splurging for some 6-pack of craft beer for $12 makes no sense to me at this point.
re: Worst kind of snob?

They’re all bad, but food snobs take the cake. There’s different types too…
There is the “you can’t cook authentic ___ unless you live in a particular area”.
There are the ones that think food being served out of a truck is automatically better.
There are the ones who will spend thousands of dollars on knives and pans and think anyone that doesn’t is incapable of cooking.
Then you have a whole subset of sushi and Asian BBQ snobs.

UNC/Baylor 2022 was one of the wildest tournament games I've ever seen. UNC blew a 25 point lead with 10 minutes to play but recovered to win in OT.
I was at that game. Brady Manek fouled out and Baylor went off. I can’t believe UNC recovered in OT.

The execution on that Valpo play was unreal.

As this fantastic time draws near, what you got? I know UMBC crushing UVA and the FDU win over Purdue will frequently be mentioned, so I’ll roll with one that’s a tad under the radar.
Jermaine Wallace stunning Iowa giving the Southland and Northwestern State a 14 over 3 upset.

That's what free speech alley is for, just because its a tranny yelling shite I don't agree with doesn't mean they can't "express" themselves.
I didn’t say they weren’t allowed to shout or that they should be punished. I just said it was embarrassing…for obvious reasons.

That was the ‘99 West Regional. Gonzaga knocked off Florida in the Sweet 16 and Gus Johnson screamed “and the slipper still fits!”.
re: What does your IQ have to be to work at the USPS?
Posted by TexasTiger08 on 3/2/26 at 9:38 am to TechDawg2007
I do lots of business with USPS through eBay and marketplace sales. I rarely have any issues. On a side note, it’s pretty cool that you can send something in an envelope across the country for under a dollar.

Two kids left sobbing and searching for answers after their games and all Daddy-o here can do is offer them some ice cream and let 'em spill their guts. Then try to remind them why they play at all.
Good. It means they care. It means they are competitive. It means they want to win. I don’t see anything wrong with those traits. The same board that hates participation trophies is gonna call your kids soft or explain why they shouldn’t care, but I disagree. Professionals sob over losing. It happens, and it sucks. As long as you teach your kids to learn from it and have it as a reason to push a little harder, it results in a W.

Last week it was pitching that was the concern, now hitting?
Damn…I guess this team sucks. Honestly, not too concerned about peaking in February.

You border wall idiots want to ruin a beautiful national park for 11,823 people crossing? Seriously? You think it is worth it? There is already technology there monitoring the border which you obviously had no clue about. Daddy Trump tells you how to think after all.
I’m surprised so many on here support the wall in this area.
I voted for Trump, but I’m also capable on independent thought. This section of the wall ain’t it. I’m sure many in LA wouldn’t want the beautiful Atchafalaya ruined because of something silly like this. A wall in Big Bend won’t exactly take traffic down to zero anyway. These guys build tunnels.
Leave Big Bend alone. Between planned communities run by Blackrock, data centers and the like, our beautiful landscape is getting ruined one acre at a time.
