Bogie’s can stay closed and rot for all I care. I used to stay at U-View and those Friday night concerts that would go til 2 am were the worst. I did cartwheels for everybody still living there when they announced they were closing down

Opening at 8PM tomorrow.
Sounds like Mugsy is gone and they have a few younger guys that bought it out. They probably got it for next to nothing.

What were you doing on a Friday night at LSU that required peace and quiet?

Lost my front tooth in the back area of Bogies.
Maybe I can find it now

I found it easier to get laid if I went to Fred's.

How can anyone care about the Bogies brand name at this point, in 2019?
Who gives a shite, you can still enjoy your memories, nobody is stealing them from you.
Another new bar name with a set of pretty ladies behind the bar will open up soon enough. Even More exciting.

People value tradition. It’s obviously not a big deal or anything, but tradition is cool and has to start somewhere.

I am 22, friend. You may not be in the age range, but I am.

What's your point my friend? Not trying to be an arse, I promise.
I am older, I realize nostalgia plays a part but realistically does it make it more legit if the bar is opened with the same name? Would it be so horrid if the same bar opened with a new name?
What about about new owners with the same name?
In my experience it's best to keep memories in tact but embrace the future.
In the end every new experience is a time marker for our lives.

Mugsy is 100% out.
The 2 younger guys that bought it took out a sizable loan & didn't even get the lease renegotiated down to a realistic price to survive the winter break into the Spring semester. They're going to have to be packed every open night for at least 8 straight weeks to make their payments (unless they have some secret silent partner).

Bogies claims it’s re-opening its doors this weekend
- LSU 10-0, beats Bama
- Burrow frontrunner for Heisman
- Bogie's reopens
It really is a magical year for the Tiger community.
