It's rather telling how upset you get when someone dares to invade your thought bubble. You're the PERFECT fricking example of why books like this are needed.

Why are you so mad at him for saying kids should learn about and get exposure to other cultures and backgrounds?
Regardless of anything else said in this thread or what's in those childrens books, do you think that's a bad thing?

The dude stalks me on here because I didn't like Trump and have some views that are left of center. He's immature and uninformed. He's a redneck in a world finally pushing his kind aside so the rest of us can grow and prosper in a more just and open-minded world. He's fighting for his last breaths of relevance.

Oh so it's personal -
I was worried he hated the idea of children actually learning about other cultures.

Hahaha...no, he's serious about that, too.

You must have missed the thread about St. Joseph's Academy last fall.
The indoctrination is not limited to public schools.

You're calling us redneck but meanwhile you're from Georgia...

When will self-respecting non-cucked Whites wake up?
Quit supporting our dispossession!

This kind of leftist indoctrination should (but of course, won’t) be banished from public education.
But unless you’re a leftist dupe yourself, there probably aren’t enough books written to cover up the obvious facts of what diversity and culture dump on society every single day.

The titles of the books aren’t listed in the article, but everyone is acting like these books are going to be super aggressive and anti-white. I may live in a bubble, but I haven’t seen any kids books like that. I think the article might be skewing this to sound more radical than it really is. These are probably some books with children from different cultures as main characters doing normal kid stuff. One that makes these lists a lot is Ada Twist, Scientist. Just a book about a girl who likes science. She happens to be black; it’s a cute book. If that’s the “indoctrination,” there are way bigger problems in the world.

The private and parochial schools are fixing to be overrun with applications for admission. Home schooling is fixing to take off, too.

That’s not remotely what they’ll be teaching.
And if you believe it is, you are either naive or being a disingenuous sack of shite

Secondly, yes, it's good for children to get exposure to other cultures and backgrounds. I understand this may be difficult for those of you living in the lily-white sticks, sheltered from all them damn coloreds, but the world outside of your bubble is changing (whites will soon be minority in this country) and we need to prepare kids of all races, religions, etc., for those demographic changes.
A bit misleading don't you think?
At some point in the next 30 years whites will likely no longer be the majority (as in making up more than 50% of the population) but they certainly won't be a minority comparatively to other races in our life time.
White: 60.1% (Non-Hispanic)
Hispanic: 18.5%
Black: 12.2%
Asian: 5.6%
Multiple Races: 2.8%

1. This thread is about elementary schools, which SJA is not.
2. I would never send my kids to SJA.
3. I never said or implied that indoctrination was limited to public schools.

Serious question - have you read any of these books being suggested?
We have small kids and have a few great Sesame Street books that talk about the irrelevance of skin color, types of hair, face structure, etc.
I think that's a good thing. I haven't seen any of these books saying that white people are bad.
I'll bite.
Have you kept abreast of the bigger push of anti-racism? All of these things filtering down are from this movement, not the other way around. Unless you're aware of THOSE authors and THOSE books, telling someone that because a certain kid's book doesn't currently seem to have anything you personally find objectionable is largely missing the point in the grand scheme, because they absolutely will.
So I'll ask...what does the term "anti-racism" mean to you? Same goes for "equity."

It kind of sounds like you did imply this, not that I give a shite either way.
That being said, I doubt it's limited to St. Josephs. It's happening at all levels of education, public and private, K-12 and beyond.

But most people on this forum live in the South, not the midwest, west coast, and northeast where the overwhelming majority-white populations are found.
