You need to tell them firmly that you won't be attending events/taking calls until they grow up and stop acting like children. And then actually follow through on that.
This is assuming they mistreat your SO or shite talk her to you. If they just secretly dislike her quietly, then whatever who cares.

Has your mom openly admitted to not liking your SO, or do you just get the feeling she doesn't?
A lot of times mothers are skeptical of new GFs at first, especially if you (her son) has been hurt or put through hard times by women before. If that's the case and your SO is a good woman, your mom will open up to her after your SO shows that she has your best interest at heart too.
It's hard to gauge what's truly going on without knowing more about your past and your relationship with your current SO. But most likely it's either all in your head or mom is being a little skeptical of the new GF at first

First, is your momma or your family crazy? If so, disregard their disapproval and move on with your life.
If your momma isn't crazy, why does she disapprove. Is there a misunderstanding or a misrepresentation of your SO?
If there isn't a misunderstanding or a misrepresentation of your SO that's easily explained, what is the disapproval about?
Perhaps you have placed it on the pedestal and it doesn't deserve that placement? Your momma might recognize?

While I agree this is a common thing mothers do, all it takes is consciously not being a turd. We are humans with the ability to control our actions.
My mother and I welcomed my brother's wife with open arms, and every other girl he dated before her. I experienced what it was like firsthand to be hated my someone's mother for no reason other than them not wanting their son with anyone, and I told my mother she better never do that to anyone my brother brings around.

Ah, this explains it. I have a female cousin and aunt that have always been this way at family gatherings, they always give the new SO shite and talk about her behind her back to themselves.
It's something the rest of the family realized years ago and just ignores now, the two of them just love to make drama and feel superior.
If you *really* want to stir shite up at family christmas, let the women know that you don't need their approval and that your happiness is all that matters. So they can sit there and be miserable assholes, or they can welcome your SO on Christmas like good people and maybe make a new friend/family member. Either way it's no difference to you.

Have you asked your family why they don't like her? And I don't mean ask to defend your SO but actually listen to what they have to say?
They may be more wrong that a football bat but I think hearing them out and thinking about what they have to say may help you here. Either closure on moving on from them a little OR realizing your SO isn't who you thought she was?
Maybe she got rolling her eyes? Maybe your mom is jealous because she is prettier than your mom feels? or maybe she was having fun with Uncle Joe at dinner while you rambled on how much you love the Brian Kelly hire?
