We had a British family move in next door when we were still in Katy, Tx. I was blown away by what they had never experienced.
They were routinely blown away by everyday things like a skating rink, large movie theaters, and shooting guns on the property we ended buying north of Houston. It was wild.
I remember one day they were drinking at the pool and I asked them how it was going, they said amazing, we’re just getting pissed and swimming. Apparently pissed means drunk.

That is what makes the world go round. I’ve done the same with tourist at the boat landing. Have even brought them into the duck blind. Great fun.

We have a camp on the West Pearl, after Katrina, we met some power company guys at the boat launch, Davis landing, from Boston. They just wanted to see what the swamp looked like.
We wound up taking them all through out the swamp and brought them back to the camp for dinner. Guys had the time of their lives...

This dude has a good YouTube channel. They started in Texas, went through Lafayette and New Orleans, Mississippi, and were in Alabama at my last watch.
He snapped his front teeth on a mechanical bull in New Orleans, but a Gulfport dentist patched him up.
I laughed when they were in an Air BnB in Lafayette area, typical house, and panned around to show what a “proper Cajun home” looked like.
