you know the truth of the matter is thank God Salamoni went home after the altercation with Alton Sterling and not the other way around. If Sterling would have gotten his hand on the gun in his pocket he would have killed Salamoni and we would be feeding that POS sterling for the rest of his worthless life.

Let’s not kid ourselves. We all know the only reason that piece of shite was appointed police chief is because we have an overtly racist feminazi mayor and both just happen to be black. Broome and Paul will one day get their fricking comeuppance from both the police union and the people of Baton Rouge.

I think Paul knows his fate as Chief of Police is tied to the political success of Broome in the next election.
If she isn't re-elected he will likely be removed by the next mayor.
As a result, I think he decided to double down on the black voters this weekend with his statements. Tell them everything they want to hear and hope its enough to boost Broome into another term. It's really his only play. He and Broome are never going to win over Zachary, Central, St. George, and South Baton Rouge voters.
I won't be enough. Black voters will forget about Salamoni and his statements by next Fall, what have you done for me NOW mentality, when the election is held.
We have to just grind this thing out.

I would think that going to the paper and claiming that Salamoni should never have been hired to begin with would be a violation of any agreement structured so that Salamoni would resign but be capable of catching on at another department.
I would think most agreements like this would also have an NDA and that Paul and SWB blew it by trashing him on the way out the door in addition to saying that he received no money from the deal.

He pretty much admitted that the blood of sterling is on the hands of the city so I would think sterlings family has a good case against the city IF what that idiot is saying is truth.
