Silverado’s have the new 4 cylinder engine in all 2020 models. No resale value

but man Toyota is behind in cockpit tech
I hate this argument! New Tundra's have push button start, Android Auto/Carplay, radar cruise, lane keep, the list goes on... I don't know what else Toyota can add here to quiet this narrative. A limited Tundra has as much tech as a Lariat Ford, I assure you.

The reputation comes from being 3 years behind everyone else installing those features

I looked at a new Tundra first two years ago as I had been driving a Land Cruiser. Something felt forced about the tech. I don’t know how to really explain it other than to say the dash and the operation of the tech felt like an after thought. I went with a GMC.

Cool because Dodge doesn't make a Ram truck any longer
Right. It's made by Fiat.
What could possibly go wrong?

Who gives AF. It's not an iPhone.

I good friend of mine is a mechanic, he is a die hard GM fan. He said with what they are doing to these trucks nowadays to get as much fuel efficiency out of them the manufacturers are missing the boat in areas of the motors. He said if he was as buying a truck tomorrow, he would buy a Toyota. I said “ you serious?” I thought he was screwing with me. Nope, gods honest truth!

I agree but people shite on the truck and it's not a valid argument.

What did you end up purchasing
I got a 2020 Silverado LT. I did replace the rear shocks and it made a big difference. I put on the Bilstein 4600 series and the back of the truck is a lot more stable and smooth on rough roads.
My son has a 2015 Silverado LTZ and he thinks my trucks rides smooth. Its not horrible but it is not a car ride for sure. Roads are shite around my house so that does not help.

When’s the last time you actually drove one? It has the ride quality of a 1918 Model T. The seats don’t even adjust. If he is used to small car ride quality, a Tacoma is not the way to go.

I have an 04 Tundra with about 285k on it. I've only done maintenance on it. It just works.

Wait another 2 years and get a Tesla Cybertruck. Most "new" trucks produced today will be obsolete technology in 5-10 years.

I pulled the trigger on a 1500 AT4 last month(My camper was a bit much for my Tacoma). I was apprehensive and mulled the purchase over for the better part of the last year. I'm pretty happy with it though. Sweet interior and over all good looking truck with a lot of Bells and whistles(great as long as they work).

when you use remote start, do you still have to shut the mfer off when you get in?

If you're going to get a Tundra, wait until the 2022 comes out.
Go with the GMC otherwise.
