I will be stopping at taco guss.

It is truly the one place we visit EVERY time we head down there. Order one of every taco to experience it all!

They will bring you these caddies to fill your tacos.

Hacienda del Mar is very nice. There is a restaurant there called Pitahaya's -- AWESOME food!! If you can, just order a handful of their appetizers and chow down. They are very creative and full of flavor, plus you will get to taste a bunch of different things. However they have a duck entree that is to die for.

If you guys wanna ball it up, you are next door to Esparanza, it is a 5-star resort where many a celebrity stay when they come to Cabo. Ben Stiller's movie The Heartbreak Kid was filmed there. Their restaurant Cocina del Mar ("kitchen of the sea") is quite spendy but the food is some of the best you'll get in Cabo. It also has a view that's hard to beat....see below.

We will be going next Mardi Gras. Several familes with older (11-15) kids. Any recomendations on where to stay thats close enough to walk to downtwon area, but also has cool pool and beach area for kids? Of course the parents want it to be nice and lively at night.

Also, any feed back on the Wide Open Baja muti-day trips?

thanks

For all that you mention, I would recommend Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos (Medano Beach). We have not stayed there, but know many families that have and raved about it. Awesome location for all that you have listed. We have only used Xtreme Adventures for our buggy tours, but Wide Open looks legit and their ratings on TripAdvisor are off the charts solid.

Here is the hotel, it is located on Medano Beach which is pretty much the only spot in Cabo proper you can swim in the surf. You are also right next door to The Office and the Mango Deck, plenty of fun to be had during the day at either of those places. You can also rent paddle boards, jet skis, glass bottom boats...all right there. The tile-roofed resort you see in the background the distance backs up to the Marina and the "downtown" area so you can see how close you are to that.

Stay in San Jose not San Lucas. They're only 15 miles apart.

If you want a nice meal, eat at Tequila's.

Next door is Los Barriles, which has awesome food as well. They cook at your table. They have a super huge plate for 2 that is $45 and it is a TON of food.

Been there, and this place is indeed legit. Highly recommend it.
