The best way to resolve it is throw it in the garbage and forget about it.

My wife got a speeding ticket in Waterproof….everyone gets a ticket there.

She was speeding up toward the 55 mph sign as she was leaving town. The officer said the posted speed limit is not when you see the sign but at the actual sign location. I googled it and the officer is technically correct.

I can’t wait to get pulled over as I’m entering a town and get pulled over before the reduced speed limit sign.

That sign on the other side says 40mph. So if the camera was between Hwy425 and that 55mph sign you were in a 40mph zone.

I'd let them turn me over to collection.

Failure to pay means it is sent to collections and doesn’t result in a warrant?

I’m not paying that.

Does the DMV in Louisiana track these so you have to pay when going in for a renewal? I assume no since collections.

If you were headed south the speed limit is 55mph. If you were headed north, as you come into Clayton there is a 40mph sign, hard to see, then it jumps back up to 55 mph as you leave clayton.

I got the exact same picture as you! My take on this is that it makes a difference where the cop took the photo from. If he was sitting at the 3513 location, than your vehicle is in the 55MPH zone. It all depends on where he was when the photo was taken. The ticket shows you were 343' and 433' away from the camera.

Same conclusion, don't pay it.
