I don't know how you guys can live around those things. I hate reptiles so much that I freak out when I see a lizard or a snake, I couldn't imagine seeing one of those. If I ever saw one I would start shooting, then take off running and then move. The only thing worse to run into for me would be a Komodo Dragon, frick those things.

They're docile. They conserve as much energy as possible. They're not that scary unless you're in the water with one. Now that's pretty frightening.

Im scared of the little tiny lizards we have in AZ. For some reason I have always been scared of snakes and lizards, probably because they would get into our house as a little kid.

When I worked in St Pete as a civil engr years ago, I'd see them all the time when in the field. I was extra cautious during mating season though

Bayou is right, was fishing in a large pond once, dragging a catch of fish begin me tied to my belt. (wading). a rather large alligator surfaced about 20 feet away.....probably wasnt going to bother me, but at the time...nope, nope, nope.

While playing at NAS Jacksonville golf course, a gator came out of the water at me while I was stupidly looking for my ball. He was nowhere near that big, though. Still almost shite my shorts.

Perspective. That gator isn't as big as it looks.
