The PGA tour never needed them. I’ve never understood anyone saying the contrary during this whole schism. There’s new up and comers every year that do great things and people start following and rooting for them. It’s the tournaments we all love that draw the fans. A handful of guys were never bigger than the tour, the tournaments, and courses that people have been watching and have memories of since they were kids (including memories with family members). Maybe if this happened in like 2004 and they pulled prime Tiger it would be a different story. Golf is a nostalgic sport.

Newark is still one of the shittiest cities I’ve been too. It has a long way to go. Jersey City is actually pretty damn nice now, especially around the waterfront.
