Get out of here with that shite.

Free speech means you can say what you want but it doesn’t mean everyone else is going to let you do it without some blowback.

This is all stuff you and everyone else knows. You know when you tell crowd civil rights was a mistake that it’s going to piss people off 100% of the time.

If you don’t know this, you should not be speaking in public. Do it somewhere else.
This the perfect example of the self-inflicting mindset that is corrupting so many people today:

"I don't care about the truth, I only care about feelings. And if someone hurts my feelings and I kill him for it, he had it coming. My actions are an uncontrollable result of my feelings, and my feelings are an uncontrollable result of someone else's words."

It is quite simply, the mindset of an immature child. Expressing emotions before having the facts is a weakness, not a strength.

I walked into Mass last night with a woman who said to me ‘Are you here for Charlie? That’s why I’m here. I’ll be disappointed if they don’t mention it in Mass.’

I go to evening Mass often, and she’s not a regular. She’s my son’s classmates mother, so I knew who she was, which I guess was why she engaged me. My immediate first thought was ‘if you’re just here for Charlie, then you’re here for the wrong reasons.’, but I decided to hold my tongue.

It wasn’t mentioned in Mass, so I guess she was unfulfilled.

None of that is divisive unless you just ignore fact and live your life based on your emotions.

I mean a lot of what you just stated was opinion-based. Which is totally fine, of course. But of course, many people will naturally have varying adverse opinions as well. When you take stances that a whole lot of people disagree strongly with, then it'' oftentimes be seen as divisive or controversial.

When my wife disagrees with me, I don't shriek like a banshee and put a bullet in her neck, I continue the conversation.

Leftists don't have that much decency.

Of course, but 99% of leftists would not do that either. Murderers exist, the vast vast majority of humans are not murderers.

We talked about and prayed for Charlie, and then for our country and its leaders. Then how the signs of Jesus return, described as birth pangs and spoken about in the Bible, are being felt stronger and stronger.

Attendance was down a bit but that’s because it is Biker Week at a beach nearby and many were there for the weekend.

At face value, he did have a theme of stating it but must be stated as “civil rights Act” to make the statement.

Folks will use it as an overarching belief he had (which I don’t agree with). He did a decent job of explaining certain inclusions that led to bad outcomes we see today.

I don’t think he was saying racial equality was bad, but I do think he believed implementation of the act and policy resulted in BAD outcomes overall.

Right, wrong, or indifferent the topic and his beliefs were nuanced but I didn’t take away he was shitting on racial equality.

Only if they're low IQ and take what he said out of context, which is what seems to be happening a lot.

Go check what he actually said, it isn't all that controversial.
