No, I'm not. All I am saying is that the officer was overbilled and it's going to be hard going forth with 1st degree. Due to the knife, teen's noncompliant behavior and proximity of his partner when the shots were fired.

I don't work for a department. I am assistant manager at a shoe store in the mall but I read a lot. I believe it would take more than a "little coordination". The teen was extremely unpredictable and noncompliant.

They're going to burn the city down and cover this on the news 24/7 for a cop, who's already been charged with first degree murder, killing a guy WALKING AROUND WITH A KNIFE HIGH ON PCP AND DISOBEYING ORDERS. Yet you see zero protests and almost zero coverage when a guy shoots 15 COMPLETELY INNOCENT PEOPLE, INCLUDING CHILDREN IN A PARK! Seems legit...

Also, yes that cop should lose his badge and probably do some jail time.
However.
The victim, pictured in the article in a graduation cap and gown, was high on PCP carrying a weapon, and being non-compliant.
There's no reason to celebrate and worship that smack addict because he died.
There was no right or innocent in this situation.

Hey tangerine have you followed the Corey jones shooting in Palm Beach Gardens? That one sucks but the protests have been smart and peaceful. Dude was a church drummer and a rookie undercover shot him when he was on the side of the road after his van broke down.
Crump and Jessie have been here but it's been really cool to see the community actually come together to support the family.

Yeah it should be a national story. Family is on point, protests are peaceful. State attorney and police brass are exchanging information with the family. The Pb gardens police will pay the family because they fricked up and had this rookie on undercover surveillance which is against their protocols. Just a sad situation, but it's been handled well by the parties involved.
And too bad there is only local media coverage. It's shameful by the national media really. Their true intentions are shown when they ignore stories like this.

Number of shots do not matter. How many people with experience in these situations have to say that for some of you to get that through your heads? The only difference would have been had the cop re-loaded and started shooting again.
That said, this was straight up murder. I hope the cop spends the rest of his life in prison.

It's cold and a holiday weekend. The cop was charged with first degree murder and the family already paid a settlement of $5 million.
